New After Earth TV Spot

Backstory revealed

By Robert T. Trate     April 24, 2013

Yahoo Movies has posted a new spot that reveals the backstory to M. Night Shyamlan’s After Earth. The premise and film look great. Will audiences be able to get over Jaden Smith’s “Karate Kid” style of acting and enjoy the film? That answer arrives this June.

Plot Concept: Will and Jaden Smith are set to star as a father and son who crash-land on Earth one thousand years after mankind has abandoned the planet. The crash leaves the elder Smith badly injured, and it's up to the boy to find help in what is now a strange and dangerous place.

After Earth crashes into theaters June 7, 2013.

 Welcome to After Earf!

1000 years?  That's it?  I hope they dream up some kind of evolution accellerant because I hate to break it to em, but animals haven't done a whole lot of evolving in the last 1000 years, and I want to like this movie.

And how can the animals evolve to kill humans if there aren't any humans?

I don't care I still want to see this even if it ranks at the bottom of all the must see films of the summer.

Um, no. Sorry. Looks goofy. Like Avatar without the Blue Cats!

Wow is this Earf (joke) ever going to wear off?  I think it was funny the first time this got posted MONTHS ago.

Anywho i'm still going to check this out.  With all the sumer eye candy out there it still looks pretty good to me.

Bryzarro 4/25/2013 6:29:38 AM

And 1000 years of evolution now has nothing, but on an earth with interplanetary travel i'm willing to guess there may be some genetic manipulation of some sort.  I'll have to see the flick to judge that but just throwing that out there.

Can't wait to see two hours of Will Smiths Nepotism 101.
