With the highly-anticipated release exactly a month away, 20th Century Fox and director James Cameron have revealed a new international featurette and a French poster for Avatar. You can check out the featurette (via MarketSaw) down below.

While revealing the new poster, Peter Sciretta at /Film has also passed along word that composer James Horner has confirmed the film's running time to be three hours in length and given a list of the tracks that will be on the soundtrack. Check it out here.

The 3D sci-fi epic will star Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, Michelle Rodriguez, Giovanni Ribisi, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Peter Mensah, Laz Alonso, Wes Studi, Stephen Lang and Matt Gerald. James Cameron helmed from a story he scripted.

Plot Concept: The story's hero is Jake Sully, a former Marine confined to a wheelchair. Bitter and disillusioned, he's still a warrior at heart. All Jake ever wanted was something worth fighting for, and he finds it in the place he least expected: on a distant world. Jake has been recruited to join an expedition to the moon Pandora, which corporate interests are strip-mining for a mineral worth $20 million per kilogram on Earth. To facilitate their work, the humans use a link system that projects a person's consciousness into a hybrid of humans and Pandora's indigenous humanoids, the Na'vi. This human-Na'vi hybrid – a fully living, breathing body that resembles the Na'vi but possesses the individual human's thoughts, feelings and personality – is known as an "avatar."

In his new avatar form, Jake can once again walk. His mission is to interact with and infiltrate the Na'vi with the hope of enlisting their help – or at least their acquiescence – in mining the ore. A beautiful Na'vi female, Neytiri, saves Jake's life, albeit reluctantly, because even in his avatar body, Jake represents to her the human encroachment on the Na'vi's unspoiled world.

As Jake's relationship with Neytiri deepens, along with his respect for the Na'vi, he faces the ultimate test as he leads an epic conflict that will decide nothing less than the fate of an entire world.

Avatar will hit theaters December 18, 2009.

Way too much info in the clip.  IMO.  Now I'm wishing I didn't watch it.  Damn my curiosity.  Having said that, this looks really good!

1-Damn, I just finished saying how Jarrod refues to post AVATAR news cause he wants it to flop and BAM he goes ahead and posts this :) Good for you J

2-I don't speak french but I'm guessing that poster says "opening dec 16" Why the hell are they gettin g it before us? They better be planning on pushing up the release date here too if that's the case

3-How effing sweet does that look. Like I said before, if anyone thinks that looks like something from Pixar they must be off their rocker. That shit looked awesome. You can tell that some shots have been worked on a bit more since originally shown some months back. Some are more detailed and more gritty, giving it an even more realistic look

4-30 days and counting baby. My midnight tickets are safely  stashed in my wallet waiting for the day the earth will stand still as we're awed by AVATAR

I've got the fever, for more cowbell, yes but more Avatar.

Hah, Wise, what makes you think I want the movie to flop? While I was just being honest a few months back when I said the first teaser didn't blow my skirt off, I'm certainly not rooting against it.

It's sci-fi...No, strike that...It's epic sci-fi on a grand scale. Mania will always support that type of release because we need to support the home team. Sci-fi. I'll take 3 Avatars over 100 bland romantic comedies. :)

It's also James Freaking Cameron, the man who brought us The Terminator, Aliens, True Lies and The Abyss, four classic movies currently sitting in our home movie shelf here. I'm not rooting against him or his film here. If Avatar turns out to be a great film, it deserves all the money it can grab from movie goers. If it surpasses everyone's expectations, congrats to James.

I may have my doubts on certain points (box office wise) but it doesn't mean I'm hoping it will flop. That kind of development doesn't exactly help our favorite genre entertainment. Like you, I'll be there on opening day (Or a week before opening day and if it's great, I'll come back on opening day with wallet in hand).

Don't spin your company line at me Sarrafin, I know your tricks.  Your hatred blinds you from the truth.  Avatar owns all!

I'm keeping my eye on you Sarrafin.

Yes sir, Mr. Pushy.

Regarding Avatar's potential box office, does anyone know how many screens on which it's going to be released?  I'm wondering how much of a factor thant might turn out to be (for firt-run profits, at least)...

Wiseguy, the poster says, "Enter into the World".  It's been about 24 years, but I do remember that much from French class... I agree, though.  Why the f--- do they get it before we do? Dicks...

Dances with Wolves

First off I've defended Jarrod and will continue to do so.  He only said it wasn't Earth shattering a few months ago and then some of you accused him of being a hater.  He was only speaking the truth, there isn't anything in it that blows anyone away...and I'll still add the special effects suck thus far.  It's still going to be a good movie but you can like the movie and not think its going to change film making.

Dances with Wolves...don't you just hate that.  There are so many out there.  I mean there is a Dances with Wolves every single year since Dances with Wolves came out, what, 18 years ago or so.  Can you name them all?  Oh that's right, you can't because there hasn't been anything else.  I see even South Park ripped on it where Cartman wanted to make Dances with Smurfs but Cameron beat him to it with Avatar.  Actually a funny episode I will admit.
