Hanso that's just too much fun not to get in on...

I fart in your general direction. Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of Avatar.

I don't care if he's Muhammed I'm hard Bruce Lee, you can't change Avatars.

Yo Avatar!

May the Avatar be with you

You want the Avatar, you can't handle the Avatar!

Avatar, you are trying to seduce me, aren't you?

My name is Maximus Decimus Meridius, commander of the Armies of the North, General of the Felix Legions, loyal servant to the true emperor, James Cameron. Father to a murdered son, husband to a murdered wife. And I will have my Avatar, in this life or the next!

Zoe Saldana is so hot.

Ok I'm getting excited for this, but I'm not calling this his greatest work or anything until I actually see the movie.  So far it just looks cool.

How many times have we complained about an epic sci-fi extravaganza with special effects and explosions, but also have characters we care about and an actual STORY being told needing to be made?  Friends, we have an answer to all our questions, and it is AVATAR.  James Cameron will show us why he took 12 years to get this movie made, and we will nod and understand.  I can only hope that he doesn't take another 12 years to make Battle Angel Alita, but that's another discussion for another time.

I think Cameron can now promptly spit in George Lucas' face.

In the words of that waste of space and human dna, Paris Hilton. That's Hot!

I got the goosebumps watching it which is always a good sign and even though the basic story isn't new, it is still made fresh by Cameron's style and flare. Should be a sweet ride.

I definitely don't think the animation looks like Pixar, but I do think it looks very Phantom Menace-like.  I also still don't see why the avatars had to be CG. I think they easily could have been done with make-up and prosthetics. Environments and creatures are another matter. As to the argument that it is designed for big screen 3D, I believe Cameron said he is doing that, but also wanted to be sure it would be mind-blowing in 2D and at home. He didn't want to make a movie that could only be seen in theaters.  All that being said, I will still be seeing it at my local IMAX theater in 3D and will probably thoroughly enjoy it and be happy to pay the $10-12 that I'll be dishing out to see it.  I just don't think it will change how I see movies.

I cannot believe the comments I have read.

I cannot believe the comment I just read...they're just comments man...get over it, and THEN get a life.  Sorry, but you're commenting on the same crap everybody else're not above ANYBODY here.

No offense, but its a pretty stupid comment. Coming on here to complain about the type of comments posted by genre fans on a site pretty much dedicated to genre news and telling them to "get a life" is like going on and posting that "sports suck". Kind of pointless.
