Writer Greg Rucka is teaming with artist Klaus Janson on BATMAN: DEATH AND THE MAIDEN, a nine-issue mini-series from DC Comics.

In the series, Wayne Enterprises has been quietly sealing up sites where Ra's Al Ghul might create a Lazarus Pit. Now Ra's' life is waning and he can't do the one thing that would extend his existence.

At the same time, Talia recognizes that with her father gone, she finally may be able to express her feelings for Bruce Wayne. But are Batman's actions - denying Ra's what he needs to survive tantamount to murder?

BATMAN: DEATH AND THE MAIDEN is targeted to begin next spring.
