New Bernard Herrmann collection due from Silva Screen

The term "Hermannesque" is now standard classical music terminology underlining Bernard Herrmann's stature as a legendary film composer Silva's new collection, Bernard Herrmann: The Essential Film Music Collection has been carefully selected from his forty-eight film scores to represent the cream of his work.

This 2 CD set includes over 140 minutes of music including TWISTED NERVE (used in KILL BILL), PSYCHO, VERTIGO, MYSTERIOUS ISLAND, and TAXI DRIVER.

This compilation, set for release on May 22nd, is the latest entry in Silva Screen's exhaustive Essential Film Music Collection Series. [The release is different and more encompassing than Silva's 1999 2-CD release, The Essential Bernard Herrmann].
