Stan Winston is a very busy man. In addition to developing the robots for the highly anticipated TERMINATOR 3: RISE OF THE MACHINES, the 55-year old creature and make-up effects mavin is also working on a line of action figures and comic books that he's planning on releasing through his company, Stan Winston Creatures.
But first things first. When asked about his involvement in T3 and the creatures audiences can expect in the new film, Winston commented, "We're designing and creating the robotic characters for it. We have to try our best to raise the bar in this one. We have a kick-ass female she's a robotic character you've never seen before, the T-X."
Winston is excited about this new venture, as he feels that it will enable him the freedom he needs to develop a whole range of genre products.
"Instead of having to wait for the screenplay to come by that allows us to create the characters and creatures we've been imagining for years, we are now creating all of the characters we ever wanted to create," says Winston. "Simultaneously, we're coming out with comic books that tell the story of these characters. I've always been a huge comic book fan. I'm at a point in my career where I'd like to see some new superheroes and some new comic book characters that films can be made from, and that's what we're doing."
We can't wait to see what you come up with, Stan.
