In connection with the launch of their official website, Lionsgate is showing off a new motion poster for their upcoming remake Conan the Barbarian. Watch it down below or at the above link. The 3D fantasy adventure has actor Jason Momoa as Robert E. Howard's mythical conqueror and also stars Rachel Nichols, Stephen Lang, Bob Sapp, Leo Howard, Ron Perlman, Rose McGowan and Said Taghmaoui. Director Marcus Nispel led the production based on a screenplay by Thomas Dean Donnelly, Joshua Oppenheimer and Sean Hood.
Conan the Barbarian will invade 3D/2D theaters August 19, 2011.

Ditto and ditto. Jason is really looking the part. I mean Arnold embodied Conan from the comics and magazine to me but Jason looks more like Howard's Conan
It's funny how far under the radar this seems to be but yet this is one of my must see film s of the summer.
Wow.... a cool poster does not makea cool movie.......... BUT THAT IS A VEEEEERY COOL POSTER!
That was the problem with Arnie's Conan, the sword was too important, the original Conan used all sorts of weapons, and when they were of no use, he ditched them and stole another!
As a kid I LOVED Arnie's Conan movies, yeah even The Destroyer, but Arnie was so wooden in those movies, his body was all wrong for the character in live action, Mamoa, looks just right, like a heavyweight boxer, ..
