Well, even if there is no sequel coming to Grindhouse in the near future, the first concept art for Rob Zombie's upcoming Tyrannosaurus Rex certainly has that grindhouse feel to it. The director has revealed a preview picture of the concept at his Myspace page, which you can check out by clicking the photo on the left.

Zombie's keeping things close to his chest but we know the Dimension film will hit theaters August 29, 2009. Zombie is directing, based on a screenplay that he penned.

Jarrod you're completely right about that grindhouse/pulp feel. I don't think much of Zombie's work so far but this poster is enough to pique my interest. I'd definitely give something like that a shot. Now all he needs to do is use stop/motion animation.

I liked this better when it was named Grindhouse and starred Machete!!

I don't think I've ever seen a Rob Zombie movie, which means his stuff must not interest me. Suddenly though I want to know more about this.

Zombie is either hit or miss. I thought The Devil's Rejects was great and I liked some elements of Halloween. This looks pretty cool. If Sherry Moon gett buck-ass nekked I'm there fo-sho!

OH GOOD! Another movie about trailer trash going on a killing spree! Because there aren't enough movies about that underappreciated genre. Who is funding this shit?

As a fellow writer I have a lot of respect for guys who delve deep into their projects (Kevin Smith, James Cameron, Steven Spielberg, etc.) Zombie has found his niche and seems to enjoy it. As well as his fans irascible because Dimension Films is funding his "shit". They wouldn't back him if they didn't that they'd make any money. On a personal note. I don't care much for his typical movies. I caught the first half hour of 'House of a 1000 corpses' and didn't like it. I did watch his version of 'Halloween' due to my love and respect for the franchise. I actually enjoyed his take and wish he would do more like that one. I feel the same way though darkheart00. I enjoyed his music a WHOLE lot more. Keep cranking them out Zombie!
