A third TV spot for Jon Favreau's Cowboys & Aliens has arrived online courtesy of Universal Pictures. Check it out down below. The summer tent pole stars Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford, Olivia Wilde, Sam Rockwell, Adam Beach, Paul Dano, Noah Ringer, Keith Carradine, Clancy Brown, Ana de la Reguera and Abigail Spencer. Iron Man helmer Favreau took on the direction, based on a screenplay by Roberto Orci, Alex Kurtzman, Damon Lindelof, Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby.

Plot Concept: 1873. Arizona Territory. A stranger (Craig) with no memory of his past stumbles into the hard desert town of Absolution. The only hint to his history is a mysterious shackle that encircles one wrist. What he discovers is that the people of Absolution don't welcome strangers, and nobody makes a move on its streets unless ordered to do so by the iron-fisted Colonel Dolarhyde (Ford). It's a town that lives in fear.

But Absolution is about to experience fear it can scarcely comprehend as the desolate city is attacked by marauders from the sky. Screaming down with breathtaking velocity and blinding lights to abduct the helpless one by one, these monsters challenge everything the residents have ever known.

Now, the stranger they rejected is their only hope for salvation. As this gunslinger slowly starts to remember who he is and where he's been, he realizes he holds a secret that could give the town a fighting chance against the alien force. With the help of the elusive traveler Ella (Olivia Wilde), he pulls together a posse comprised of former opponents—townsfolk, Dolarhyde and his boys, outlaws and Apache warriors—all in danger of annihilation. United against a common enemy, they will prepare for an epic showdown for survival.

Cowboys & Aliens invades theaters July 29, 2011.

I still think this movie is going to be really cool.  Favreau, in my opinion, knows how to make an enjoyable movie, and knows what fans want to see.

See this one to me is that one that's getting lost in the summer movie shuffle MrG. Then again maybe it's because to me it doesn't have the same anticipation or fandom as Cap, GL, X-Men or Transformers. Plus the more I see the more I go "meh". Maybe there holding all the good stuff for the movie itself

I see your point Wise.  They are also showing the same stuff over and over.  Maybe my anticipation comes from the title.  I think its a hoot.  Not COWBOYS AND INDIANS, COWBOYS AND ALIENS.  I still chuckel when I say or here it.  Also, if I am honest with myself, This is WAY BELOW GL, Cap, X-Men, Transformers, and even Harry Potter.

I'm just as excited for this as most of the other summer films this year.  If I had to put them in some sort of order, this might be towards the bottom but I'm still highly anticipating it.  Looks like it will be a fun ride with great actors.

I think most people (like myself) won't be able to hit every genre flick this summer and this one is gonna be one a lot of people (like myself) will let slide past them.

These are the types of movies that come out of nowhere and end up being some of the best of the summer. Not saying that with this just in general. Noboby thought bourne was going to be big, just alternative programming and it became a runaway hit. I love comics as much if not more than anyone on this site but you got to leave room for some new stuff.

ya it's too bad there are so many good movies out at the same time. Wish we could have a movie like this released when there is nothing to watch.
