Here is an all-new clip from BATMAN: THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS, PART 1 in which Batman (voiced by Peter Weller) deals with criminals and cops with his own style of diplomacy.
The film premieres in New York Thursday, 9/20 and in Los Angeles next Monday, 9/24. The events are completely sold out.
BATMAN: THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS, PART 1, the next entry in the popular, ongoing series of DC Universe Animated Original Movies, arrives September 25, 2012 from Warner Home Video as a Blu-ray™ Combo Pack and DVD, On Demand and for Download. The PG-13 film is produced by Warner Premiere, DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Animation.
The animation on this makes me cringe. What an awful. awful shame this is for arguably one of the greatest graphic novels of all time to be envisioned like a 60's Saturday Morning epoisode of the Herculoids.
I agree, Kent. The animation in these clips looks bush league. The Batman animated series was turning out better animation 20 years ago. WB should just stop doing DC animation, if they can't do it any better than this. Frank Miller must be facepalming at this junk.
Seriously ? the thing hasn't even come out yet and already I'm hearing you people complain about what they did wrong ? That aside, I can't wait for this to come out. I can't believe an animated version of this is actually happening. I'd have prefered Knightfall..hint, hint, but I'll settle for this. However, if I had a complaint it would be about splitting the movie into 2 parts. There's no need for that. Oh and Dojen1, take that thought, put it in a capsule , bury it in you backyard and come back to it in 10 years. Wait , who am I kidding , you could wait 20 years and they still wouldn't be good enough to pull that off. We're talking about a company that isn't smart enough to think of a way to write in a batman that fits into a Justice League movie, without yet another reboot followed, of course, by two more sequels. And you think a Batman Beyond movie is what they need to " Get done" ?
