New DARK KNIGHT Trailer Arrives Today

By: Jarrod Sarafin

Just a friendly reminder fellow Maniacs that the new trailer for The Dark Knight should be arriving online today, if we go by what their viral site WhySoSerious is hinting at. Keep an eye on the site linked to the left and I'll update this when it's officially online. The next installment of the famous franchise stars Christian Bale, Heath Ledger, Aaron Eckhart, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Gary Oldman, Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman. Director Christopher Nolan was once again behind the camera, based on a screenplay he penned with brother Jonathan Nolan.

Plot Summary: "The Dark Knight" reunites director Christopher Nolan with star Christian Bale, who returns to continue Batman's war on crime. With the help of Lieutenant Jim Gordon (Gary Oldman) and District Attorney Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart), Batman sets out to destroy organized crime in Gotham for good. The triumvirate proves to be effective, but they soon find themselves prey to a rising criminal mastermind known as the Joker (Heath Ledger), who thrusts Gotham into anarchy and forces the Dark Knight ever closer to crossing the fine line between hero and vigilante.

The Dark Knight
hits standard and IMAX theaters July 18, 2008.

The viral campaign is pretty crazy. So, apparently they are either releasing the new trailer on a screen in various park locations around the world or if you bring a wireless laptop with you to the specified location at the right time, you`ll be able to get the feed. It`ll be playing in Bryant Park in NYC in 7 hours and Hyde Park in about 5 hours in London. Wish I could get down there but I`ll be at work.

I want...... Even though I'm not supposed to watch video here at work, I'll break the rules for this one..... Any chance we have paragraph breaks in the comments yet?.....

Apparently not. Gotta keep trying.

I am so excited for this film, but I am SO Torn, What they have shown so far does not excite me as much as what I have seen from IRONMAN, And yet atthe same time, because I have seen less TDK, that will mean I will be very surprised with the end result, but I can't get over Heath Ledger as a "Crow Joker" . . .

Crow Joker?? Haha. Is it because of the makeup, untimely death, or both?? I'm more pissed about not having this trailer right here right now. Although Lazer, I must admit, the first time I saw the TDK trailer, I wasn't blown away. But now, I realize that they're just being very subtle about everything. In fact, I hope I'm dissapointed again by this latest trailer so I don't wander into the movie with astronomical expectations(if that isn't already the case). Anyway, Give me this trailer now Mania! Don't tease me.

Okay, the NY clock is at zero, and three questions came up. They each have a numerical answer, which is the combo for a locked vault. I am no where near the city, so someone please get the answers for the combo soon!
