New DARK KNIGHT Trailer Premieres at NYCC

By: Jarrod Sarafin
Date: Monday, April 21, 2008

While at the New York Comic Con this weekend, director Christopher Nolan unveiled the latest trailer for his upcoming sequel, The Dark Knight. Within a few hours, a bootleg found its way to Youtube but was yanked quick. The trailer should be hitting theaters in the next few weeks but expect an official online version very soon on one of their many viral sites for the film.

When it pops up officially, we'll pass it along to you.

Yeah, I'm expecting a trailer to show up some time this week. I got an email from Lt. Jim Gordon about how , "it`s time" and they were going to need my cooperation with some sort of operation. He`s going to email me again this week, so hopefully, it'll be a link to the new trailer. This viral stuff is pretty cool.

Great. Thanks Jarrod. I know I bitched in one of the threads that there wasn't any stuff out of the NYC Con being reported. I saw the weekend box office article up and thought you guys had forgotten about the Con.*********yo Pony hook me up with the site if you get a link to the trailer.**********By the way, I read a description of the trailer and there is no Two Face, obviously since he'll probably pop up in the end, but we'll get some Harvey Dent action.******"You either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain.” The Dark Knight will own all!

I'm sure the new trailer will debut with Iron Man.

Finally we're gonna get another trailer up, I've been all Indy gun-ho since that's all I've been seeing, but TDK is gonna own this summer.

fft5305, the new triler won't premiere with Iron Man. Iron Man is being released by Paramount, Dark Knight by Warner Bros.

lol I didn't even see your comments in my Box Office Report. Were you and Gauley busting my balls again? :)

This one wasn't posted over the weekend because there was no trailer to pass on...Much like those Joe pics last week..We knew they'd ask them to get it taken down within an hour and sure enough, the studio did.

Studios are definitely quick these days. But I don't mind the occasional ball busting. I'm always listening even if I don't always respond.

I knew there was a method to your madness ;)

Brendan...I don't know if your statement is built on solid ground...I have seen trailers from others studios premiering in front of a movie from another studio...I think a studio figures out the potential of a movie even if it is not that studios movie and will put that trailer in front of there movie based on the fact that it will put more people in the seats, I mean I have known people to go to a movie based on the fact that a particular trailer will be played and then of course they stay and watch the movie because they did just pay $10 to get in, am I right or am I right? Or am I wrong?

Brendan...I don't even know if my statement is built on solid ground more like shaky San Francisco ground thus I feel I have made a feeble house of straw or a poor attempt to prove that you are wrong, in any case, I hope you get out of jail soon and may the force be with you and all that good shit...

I feel you on that but I also don't think it will debut with Iron Man. I don't see Warner Bros who owns DC doing a favor for Marvel. You just said some people pay just to go see the trailer, so that's $10 extra Iron Man would get. Studios debut trailers infront of movies made by other studios all the time but I think it would make more sense for Warner Bros if they release it with Speed Racer, a Warner Bros picture. That's just my guess but I hope it debuts with Iron Man, I don't want to wait an extra week to see it.

Ya, ya!, what he said...The guy above, now his house is made pricks, Oh man, I did not, I mean bricks...Hanso, in good fun, right man? I agree with you also...
