Good call tonebone, i didnt think of that since they dont go into too much detail in the book.

Poster is a bummer.  So many great memories of the school.  Thanks for the spoiler warnings guys.  Seriously very much appreciated as I have not read the books

Harry Potter Sux

renderman72, it must just kill you that something that sux so much made a welfare mom richer than the queen.  Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that something is good just because it makes money, but you should expect somebody to speak up when you don't give any details or reasons to stand by your sucky platform.

Plus, the books managed to pull a LOT of kids off of their TVs and XBoxs and Playstations and actually got them reading again...and at least they're better than the Twilight

*SPOILER ALERT*  (possibly)

I can't tell from my monitor but someone please tell me that's not Wormtail at the beginning of the trailer while they're in the forest...

LadyBrowncoat 7/4/2010 10:12:58 AM

Good place to end it, but it just goes to prove this one is NOT for small kids.

*Homer Simpson looking at poster and exclaiming* "Wow! Who would've though Hogwarts gets nuked!"

As almostunbiased said, yeah what a spoiler for those of us that haven't read the books.

I wouldn't call the poster a spoiler per say.  If you watched the trailer you could see the school in ruins.  The trailer actually spoils a lot more than this poster.  I for one think it showed just a bit too much.  Plus, there is no context in the poster, so you if you haven't read teh books, you don't know how the school was destroyed.  And trust me, it will be spectacular.

Spoiler alert:

Dobby's demise after Malfoy Manor is where I was hoping they would split it.  Glad to hear that it is most likely correct.  It's a great emotional moment, just like Dumbledore's death, and happens right after a very pivotal action sequence.  That is when Harry unknowingly becomes the owner of the elder wand.

Spoiler end

If Malfoy Manner is indeed the split point, that means two thirds of the book is in the first film.  That leaves a whole lot of time for the battle in the second film, which is great since I'm hoping it will be as epic and long as it has been in my head these past few years.
