From the looks of things we still have another year before any of these are out with the earliest one in March of 14 so I'm sure that in time they will all end up as 3D.

One thing not mentioned in this article. The 3D re-release of Little Mermaid has been shelved.

Woohoo! About time. It has to do with the poor performance of Monsters Inc and Finding Nemo 3D re-releases. Duh...I think Disney thought they had a new cash cow in re-releasing their old movies in converted 3D (Lion King was a success). Glad this bit them back in the ass.

Get the hint. People are tired of this crap. Spend the money on something original.

Shame on the little mermaid loss, but in truth id did not have to be in 3D I've just been taking my kids to see them on the big screen. Maybe that's why there was such a bad performance ond Nemo and monsters after all my kids had seen them on the big screen so I didn't shell out the money just to see them in 3D, Wonder if other people felt the same way.

I recently bought a viera plasma 3D tv, and I'm sorry to all you haters who feel that this fad is over, but it's just beginning in my opinion!  The way it works on home tv's is it pairs a set of active glasses using RF or blu tooth tech to synch the tv and glasses and flicker 2 images to produce 3D stereo's far superior to any theatre experience I've had so far.........there is no going back now!  I've only watched a handfull of releases, Prometheus, Spiderman, Avatar and a couple others and the results are pretty spectacular!  To each thier own, but to those who haven't had success with the theatre format of 3D, I urge you to try the home experience with active glasses before you completely dismiss 3D as crap.

The Avengers 2 is absent from this list......I wonder why they wouldnt just bring everything up to that date?  And where the hell is the info on the next Star Wars already?!?  Another one that's not on this list......but if they want it done and out by summer 2015, then I'd think they'd want a director attached ASAP!!!  It seems like a long time now since they made the initial announcement..............

also super excited about anything Brad Bird does next......

wish - I believe Avengers 2 is set for a 2015 release date, and this article appears to be about 2014 releases.  So 3D tv is really that awesome?  That's cool.  I'm just not a fan of it in the theaters, but tv is a different medium, so I guess 3D tv would also be a different medium.  I'll probably stick with my 2D for now, and buy a 3D tv for cheap after holidecks come out.

Too impatient to get excited about movie releases over a year off...Don't even like it when they start showing a series of trailers for a movie that isn't coming out for months.  Surprise me.

Too many things happen in the course of  a year (perfect storms etc) to worry about  Disney prequels, sequels, remakes slated for 1-1/2 years from now

Only movie on the list that even slightly interests me is "1952" because no one knows what it's about (is 1952 a code name for something else?  Is it about UFO's spotted over DC in 1952? At this point we can only guess)...wouldn't it be fun if it turned out to be something original

Another Pirates movie? Isn't that dead horse beaten enough? None of them have been any good after the 1st one. They need to re-work Caps uniform. It just doesn't work.

Wiseguy 1/22/2013 4:21:03 AM

Beaten enough? not when the last one pulled in over a billion dollars. But I agree that they went downhill fairly quick after the first

James Gunn doing GOTG?? SWEET!!! I love 3D and love my 3D tv and video games....Uncharted 3 in 3D effing rules...I think 3D is something you either love or hate....I love it...
