My sleeper pick. I love the commercials they're running and their site D-9.com is pretty cool also. I must say that I am getting more excited for this the more I see, can't wait to check it out.

With a new trailer expected to premiere later this week, Yahoo Movies has revealed a new poster for Neill Blomkamp's District 9. The poster highlights the message that a lot of Maniacs have seen on the film's various billboards and bus stop ads across the nation. That humans don't trust the aliens and the aliens trust the humans even less. You can check it out down below or click on the link above.
A protege under Peter Jackson, Blomkamp was tasked with helming the project based on his sci-fi short . The film stars Sharlto Copley and David James. Down below you can also check out two viral videos from the film's websites MultiNationalUnited and MNUSpreadsLies.
When the new trailer appears on Wednesday, we'll pass it along.
Plot Concept: The story depicts a fictional world where extraterrestrials have become refugees in South Africa.
District 9 will hit theaters August 14, 2009.
Here's the new poster.

Im very excited about this movie. I showed the trailer to my dad, and even he can't wait to see it.
Where the hell have I been? This is the first I've seen of this. It looks cool.
The trailer was in the theaters a month or two back (maybe on Wolverine?). It definitely caught me off guard. I hadn't even heard of it at that point, much less of PJ's involvement. The trailer rocked! It was even better when it showed up on the net a few days later with subtitles for the alien's dialog.
I think the poster is pretty cool. They are really banking on Jackson being a draw for this film. Personally I think Blomkamp's short films really speak for themselves. I hope he can bring the same look and feel to this feature. I would like to see him have a hit on his hands. Plus the shot "alerts" are a nice touch...
