would be cool if this movie has the feel of say an updated "Big Trouble in Little China" meets "Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon" meets "Shaolin Soccer" with a dash of Final Fantasy sprinkled on top. Maybe a drink of "Matrix" to wash it all down

(sounding like Homer) mmmmmmmmm drink of "Matrix"....
This movies is going to need something special to convince me that it is actually a worthy Dragonball flick. It appears to be a silly comical look with the orange fighting uniforms. I thought they would do without all the bright colored outfits. I'll give them one thing... minus the physique, Justin Chatwin looks just like a young Goku. Same facial structure and chin. Same look in his eyes, like an amazed child. hmmm....

Well you learn something new everyday. I have seen all of the dragon ball series and animated movies. However, until today, I did not know that a live action movie was done in the '80s. It is sort of a faux Dragon Ball movie, as a result of copyright laws.

Here is the wikipedia entry:

And you can watch the movie on youtube:

I just saw a sign that there was a temporary problem (in spanish).

Maybe they're going for something like what the first Mortal Kombat had, but with the final Neo vs. Smith physics. I just wonder what the biggest attack we'll see is, and whether or not we'll catch a glimpse of either Vegita & Nappa, or possibly Radditz. Here's to hoping that it's not a steaming pile.

Never really watched more than a couple of dbz episodes while babysitting a buddies kid , its an okay show i guess, but im sure the movie will be a load of shit, the quality of the pics were shitty, the orange jumpsuit things made me think that this is gonna be bad, like a cross between The condemed (so so movie withalot of shaky film) and the second MK movie (shitty, very shitty) , I am curious though ..one of the guys in the pics looked like the kid from The Invisible(not bad but very emo)... we shall see upon release of the preview if I go see it
