Comedy Central has ordered 13 brand spanking new episodes of the former Fox series FUTURAMA. The deal builds upon the channel's acquisition of the 72 episode library of FUTURAMA which they acquired last fall.

Billy West, Katey Sagal and John DiMaggio are all onboard for the new episodes which will continue the story of the pizza delivery boy who was accidentally frozen for 1,000 years before waking up in the future.

MULCH!

Frankly, I'm glad "Futurama" is changing networks. Fox is notorious for finding ways to ruin its few good shows. I'll be looking forward to the new episodes.

Well Fox didn't ruin Family Guy! The new episodes of that have been fantastic!

I think dersu may be referring to Fox's knack of treating decent shows like crap, then cancelling them on a whim. Futurama's 7:00 Sunday time slot had it constantly being pre-empted or delayed by football or other programming, then Fox canceled it for low ratings. It's like punching somebody in the nose, then blaming them for getting blood on your carpet.

And as I recall, wasn't Family Guy cancelled by Fox - twice?

Its a shame that Fox didn't renew the series. They could have used it to replace American Dad.

Good to hear Futurama is back... To bad it's not on Adult Swim, to the place where it got life again...

Wait, I'm confused. Comedy Central acquired all 72 episodes of the series, which is still being aired on Cartoon Network. I much prefer Futurama being aired on Adult Swim, along with the other equally rated good shows. I think Comedy Central should stick to showing "The Critic" and leave Futurama to Cartoon Network.

Great point, goodwibr.

"American Dad" blows. $10 says it'll make it through this season (due to a two-year contractual agreement with Seth), then Fox will can the ever living sh_t out of it. The ratings can't be good.

Family Guy blows. That "Death" episode sucked. Futurama rules. Shame it has been so long and I hope that it was worth the wait.

American Dad may 'blow" -- but put it next to "The War at Home" on Sundays and it has a gold light coming out of it's ass....
