Keeping up with all the many Dark Knight websites is like swimming against the Grand Rapids without feet but hey, you have to work with what you have. Another tie-in website has launched in connection with both IMAX and the next Bats sequel courtesy of Comcast. The shiny new site has an IMAX featurette for your viewing pleasure, fellow Bat fans.

The video is called "Making of the Clown Masks" but the site also has photos, downloads and more. To check it out, click here. If you'd like to check out the teasers, trailers and spots for the movie thus far, click on our database links above and below.

The highly anticipated sequel stars
Christian Bale, Heath Ledger, Aaron Eckhart, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Gary Oldman, Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman. Director Christopher Nolan once again directs, based on a screenplay that he wrote alongside brother Jonathan Nolan. You can also check out some comments there from Maniacs in years past.

Plot Summary: "The Dark Knight" reunites director Christopher Nolan with star Christian Bale, who returns to continue Batman's war on crime. With the help of Lieutenant Jim Gordon (Gary Oldman) and District Attorney Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart), Batman sets out to destroy organized crime in Gotham for good. The triumvirate proves to be effective, but they soon find themselves prey to a rising criminal mastermind known as the Joker (Heath Ledger), who thrusts Gotham into anarchy and forces the Dark Knight ever closer to crossing the fine line between hero and vigilante.

The Dark Knight will hit IMAX and standard theaters July 18, 2008.

Cool, I will be seeing this opening night at the IMAX theater. I loved Iron Man, but this is just going to be epic!

Under-Fortunatly There is no IMax that will playing near me. So I will have to settle for watching it in Digital. That is how I saw Ironman and IT was Great. There is the distinct possibility that I will purchase tickets for several shows and just sit there all day.

I agree with you my fellow mania brotha ponyboy. I think this movie is going to be off the chart and I am going to be there the weekend its release. The sad part is that Heath passed away (he will be missed) to continue the insane clown role. I loved Iron Man too, but think this movie is going to give it a challange in the box office if not pass it up.

Am I the only one who finds it oddly amusing that there is a plot summary for this film? I realize it's a standard for Mania film articles, but still.

I am usually not a fan of hollywood films on IMAX, but I think this one will be appealing enough for the drive across town.

IronMan will be the superhero king this year. Batman is just going to have to bow down to his superior. Is funny that I like Batman's comics the most but my overall preference for Marvel stamps that. Marvel will rule this year and every year until 2011 at least.

Celtics defense last night was like being caught in a vise grip from the Hulk. You can writhe and squirm all you want but there's no way out. GREEN RULES IN JUNE.
CELTICS & HULK ALL THE WAY BABY.

LOL! Word on the Celtics WISEGUY! You a Boston boy? We should hang sometime. I'm a drunkard if that's any enticement!

IM is a phenomenal film no doubt. If Dark Knight weren't coming this July (c'mon July, c'mon) I'd be agreeing with ya, although I'm thinking Hulk's gonna give it a run. I may be proven wrong (I often am) but I ain't seen nuttin' from Batman that makes me think it ain't gonna be the shit of the year.

Y'know my current views on Marvel/DC but that's over decisions within the comics and in no way reflects how pumped I am for ALL the comic films we're discussing. Hulk is probably my second most anticipated film of the year.

And then Watchman in aught-nine!
