New Full HANCOCK Trailer Online

By: Jarrod Sarafin
Date: Friday, May 02, 2008

Paramount wasn't the only studio releasing a new trailer for a major tent pole (Indy IV) today. Columbia Pictures has also unleashed their latest full trailer for Hancock, which stars Will Smith, Jason Bateman and Charlize Theron. Peter Berg directed the superhero-gone-wrong tale, based on a screenplay by Vy Vincent Ngo and Vince Gilligan. You can check out the trailer below.

Plot Concept:
Edgy, conflicted, sarcastic, and misunderstood, Hancock's well-intentioned heroics might get the job done and save countless lives, but always seem to leave jaw-dropping damage in their wake. The public has finally had enough – as grateful as they are to have their local hero, the good citizens of Los Angeles are wondering what they ever did to deserve this guy. Hancock isn't the kind of man who cares what other people think – until the day that he saves the life of PR executive Ray Embrey (Bateman), and the sardonic superhero begins to realize that he may have a vulnerable side after all. Facing that will be Hancock's greatest challenge yet – and a task that may prove impossible as Ray's wife, Mary (Theron), insists that he's a lost cause.

Hancock
hits theaters July 2, 2008.

IRON MAN......Always been a huge fan of IronMan,(since those old Marvel cartoons with hardly any animation) one of the big hitters of the Marvel Universe. Defended him through out the Civil War and I'm glad as hell he finally got his due. I just can't overstate how big a fan I've always been, not a johnny come lately. Then again growing up a Marvel zombie I guess is understandable................... Caught the 8 o'clock show then the midnight show. I'm revved up so high is unbelievable. Right now I'm putting this as one of the best superhero movies ever. It was fucking awesome, action and cgi were just out of this world, just enough comedy and still didn't take away from a terrific plot. Gwyneth Paltrow, who I've never being big on, stole my heart and was perfect for her role. The entire cast was on the money. I love how they've laid the ground work for the Mandarin with the "Ten Rings" in the future. Will definitely see it again during the weekend. Can't remember the last time I was compelled to go see multiple viewings of a film during the same weekend, not to mention the same night, that's how good this was. I just can't say enough about it. The scene and final line after the credits made me want to wet myself. I'm just giddy right now. Everybody go see this film and take the whole family.................By the way the Hulk trailer looked even more amazing on the big screen and the response from the audience gives me hope that it will be well received....Go MARVEL..............This is the only topic worthy of discussion this weekend. I must spread the word.

All the major movie reviewers are giving Iron Man great reviews according to Access Hollywood. Even Jay Leno said he loves it. This looks like it will be a Super Hero movie dominated summer. Hancock looks great and a lot of people have high hopes for Dark Knight.

Wiseguy...Once again I find your enthusiasm for IRon Man in another link and that's cool, since your kissing this films ass so much, maybe you should ask the director to bare it and smooch away...Just playing with man, I love you like I love herpes or not...

Okay, I'm done spreading the news. mla, lol to you, ever since the weekend comments on lobo's avatar to now you've been cracking me up. I think thanks are in order once again. I would thank you with money but I make it a rule not give cash to winos:) Just kidding, sometimes I drop'em a quarter but it would cost me almost double that to mail you one

Hancock looks pretty awesome. Pretty much everything Will Smith makes is good so I will be there and yes I know a lot of people didn't care for I am Legend, but I thought it was great.

I am going to see Iron Man in about an hour....I can't wait.....Hancock looks awesome. It is a somewhat original story (Incredibles), but the action looks awesome. Plus Jason Bateman is always good. I will be there July 2nd.

I wasn't sure about this at first, but I like the new trailer. I'd see this anyway because I'm a Will Smith fan, but now I'm thinking it'll be pretty good. Doesn't Charlize Theron play the villain in this? I thought I saw a picture of her in some black leather costume. That should be an interesting subplot since she appears to be Bateman's girlfriend and/or wife (lucky bastard!).

Wiseguy...I'm just being an ass as usual...I'm glad you enjoyed it and I'm pretty sure I will be doing the same after I come back from seeing it...

I wasn't so hot on this when it was first announced either, but the movie does look pretty damn funny. I don't know that I would pay full price to see it, but I'm sure I'll check it out eventually. And wessmith, Theron supposedly plays someone else who does have superpowers in the movie too, but I don't know if she's the villain necessarily. I like the fact that the trailer doesn't give that part of the plot away and leaves it for a surprise in the movie.
