Definitely looks better than the first one but they still should have gone for rated 'R'
Just a few days after revealing the new poster (above) for Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, Columbia Pictures and Yahoo Movies have unleashed a full new trailer for the sequel. Watch it in the video player down below and sound off with your thoughts. The supernatural adventure stars Nicolas Cage, Fergus Riordan, Ciaran Hinds, Idris Elba, Johnny Whitworth and Violante Placido. The co-directing tandem of Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor led behind the camera, based on a screenplay by writers Scott M. Gimple, Seth Hoffman and David S. Goyer. Plot Concept: In "Spirit of Vengeance," Johnny (Cage) ---still struggling with his curse as the devil's bounty hunter--- is hiding out in a remote part of Eastern Europe when he is recruited by a secret sect of the church to save a young boy (Fergus Riordan) from the devil (Ciaran Hinds). At first, Johnny is reluctant to embrace the power of the Ghost Rider, but it is the only way to protect the boy - and possibly rid himself of his curse forever. Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance rides into 3D/2D theaters on February 17, 2012.

I really hope this is Cage's last film as Ghost Rider. They refer to the boy in the film as Danny. Hope to hell that is Danny Ketch and he receives the curse in this film. Maybe we'll see a new actor playing Ghost Rider in the next film. My vote is Jensen Ackles as Danny Ketch.
I agree this definately has a more darker feel, and that should make this one work better. I will check it out.
What was really baffling is that Cage never did any of Ghost Rider's movements in the first film as it was noticeably inconsistent, but in this one he does. Plus they obviously paid more attention to detail of Rider's appearance as it looked too much like a classic skeleton that you see propped up in a science class and just put flames around it while it glistened after being polished.
I don't care if nic cage is in it or not, and if it's darker or not. Ghost Rider and those action scenes are badass enough to get me there opening day!! We're talking about a LIVE action GHOST RIDER!! A flaming skulled maniac demon who rides motor cycles from hell and reaps havoc everywhere he goes!! Where else do u get that ?!?! Haha. It's all about perspective yo!!
God knows how they got this made after the last movie, must be Nic cage's pull in hollywood. It still looks terrible to me, has cheesy dialogue & extremely obvious Cgi which I really hate as it ruins the movie's suspension of disbelief, but I'm sure the kids will like it
Well the last movie was a middling hit so a sequel, especially with a smaller budget, isn't surprising at all
I'm with you violator, those action sequences kicked ass. I would see this regardless but the trailer definitely nailed it for me
death4sale, I think you're right. They may be passing the baton to the kid so they can do another sequel with a new lead. Ilooked it up on IMDB but the kid is only listed as Danny but I'd bet it's Ketch
Yeah I guess you're right wiseguy, money doesn't lie. it just reminded me of Spawn, which I really tried to like but it just didn't do it for me. Oh well at least it's a superhero movie.
Look , i don't know whats wrong with you people bunch of Cage haters, but Nick Cage rocks. He's a freakin wacko and in my book that's OK =)

I've never liked the idea of Nick Cage in this role, but this looks much better than the first. More action and seems more serious than the first. A dark side. Good.
