A new faux broadcast of "Gotham Cable News" (the Batman version of CNN) has popped up online for The Dark Knight courtesy of it's official website within Comcast. This time, the broadcast has the news network discussing the life and times of Bruce Wayne. The upcoming sequel stars Christian Bale, Heath Ledger, Aaron Eckhart, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Gary Oldman, Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman. Christopher Nolan was once again behind the camera, based on a screenplay that he co-wrote alongside brother Jonathan Nolan.

You can check out the new broadcast here.

Plot Summary: "The Dark Knight" reunites director Christopher Nolan with star Christian Bale, who returns to continue Batman's war on crime. With the help of Lieutenant Jim Gordon (Gary Oldman) and District Attorney Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart), Batman sets out to destroy organized crime in Gotham for good. The triumvirate proves to be effective, but they soon find themselves prey to a rising criminal mastermind known as the Joker (Heath Ledger), who thrusts Gotham into anarchy and forces the Dark Knight ever closer to crossing the fine line between hero and vigilante.

The Dark Knight will hit standard and IMAX theaters July 18, 2008.

Kudos to Nolan and WB on this viral marketing for the DK. But is anyone outside of the people already sold wasting their time with this stuff. I don't think so, I don't think this stuff converts or brings in new fans. If they're doing it just for the fanboys fine otherwise I think it's a waste of time.

This plays like something from the E network. Nicely done.

WTF Man, I just told u guys this Dark Knight stuff was up.

I think it's cool that they got Aaron Eckhart and Christian Bale to actually do this stuff.
Even with the first video I think some of those actors will be in the film also, especially the current District Attorney.

Next week can't wait to see what they have for Major Gordon!!!!!!

By the way, they also have the first chapter of the Gotham Knight anime, I think I mentioned that before but just in case. Check it out.
