Things are getting prepped for the seventh entry into the HELLRAISER series, despite the fact the sixth, HELLRAISER: HELLSEEKER, has yet to meet the eyes of the world. It will soon, via its home video premiere this October.
That being said, the newest film, HELLRAISER: DEADER, will be directed by Rick Bota and co-penned by Tim Day.
Revealed Tim Day recently about DEADER, "We've taken a script called DEADER that Neal Marshall [13 GHOSTS] Stevens sold to Dimension almost two years ago as a spec, and I've rewritten it to incorporate the HELLRAISER mythology. Our heroine is a female reporter for a London newspaper, who is sent to Bucharest to investigate an underground suicide cult known as the 'Deaders.' She is quickly drawn into their dark world and soon can see no way out other than to join them in preparation for the coming of... Well, I don't want to ruin it for you."
For those of you eager for a HELLRAISER fix a little sooner than DEADER's, HELLRAISER: HELLSEEKER hits stores October 15, with DEADER likely to follow sometime next year.
