Original: With everyone waiting patiently for the trailer premiere of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey to arrive online tonight, Warner Bros. Pictures and Peter Jackson decided to give fans an early treat with a new photo of Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins. Check it out below.
The first teaser trailer will hit tonight at 7 PM Pacific Time. It will be attached to most showings of The Adventures of Tintin tomorrow as well if you want to watch the first trailer on the silver screen. When the trailer arrives online tonight, we'll update this story...
Plot Concept: "The Hobbit" films follows the journey of title character Bilbo Baggins, who is swept into an epic quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor, which was long ago conquered by the dragon Smaug. Approached out of the blue by the wizard Gandalf the Grey, Bilbo finds himself joining a company of thirteen dwarves led by the legendary warrior, Thorin Oakensheild. Their journey will take them into the Wild; through treacherous lands swarming with Goblins and Orcs, deadly Wargs and Giant Spiders, Shapeshifters and Sorcerers.
Although their goal lies to the East and the wastelands of the Lonely Mountain first they must escape the goblin tunnels, where Bilbo meets the creature that will change his life forever... Gollum.
Here, alone with Gollum, on the shores of an underground lake, the unassuming Bilbo Baggins not only discovers depths of guile and courage that surprise even him, he also gains possession of Gollum's "precious" ring that holds unexpected and useful qualities... A simple, gold ring that is tied to the fate of all Middle-earth in ways Bilbo cannot begin to know.
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey marches into 3D/2D/IMAX theaters on December 14, 2012.
The Hobbit: There and Back Again arrives in 3D/2D/IMAX theaters on December 13, 2013.

After TDKR, this is the movie that I'm looking forward to most. Some others close after would be the Avengers, Prometheus, and the Amazing Spiderman!
A whole year until this comes out. Oh, the horror. This is DEFINITELY my most anticipated film.
Whoa, I missed an article...I didn't realize it was going to be done in two films. That's good news.
Nice job on casting. He definitely looks like a younger and slightly thinner Bilbo. I'm truly looking forward to these films again!
He is a good actor. I loved him in "The Hitchhiker's guide to the Galaxy" which would have been great if they had carried it on.
He was acting as Bilbo even before he was cast!
Don't forget that Freeman was great in the original Office and I truly hope he can continue his role as Watson in the new Sherlock series.
Sweet. In Jackson We Trust. Now bring on the trailer!
