Lucasarts recently announced that it's developing a new Indiana Jones game, titled INDIANA JONES AND THE EMPEROR'S TOMB.
Developed in collaboration with The Collective, Inc., Indy's latest adventure looks to be his best yet. In addition to his whip and pistol, his usual assortment of weaponry, Indy can fight enemies with hand-to-hand combat. You can also use other weapons, such as shovels, chairs and table legs to defend against enemies. Movie-like action sequences fill the game, such as a rickshaw chase through Hong Kong.
The storyline revolves around a black pearl, called the Heart of the Dragon. When the pearl, which gives people the ability to hold minds, falls into the wrong hands, it's up to Indy to get it back and save the day.
"Indiana Jones is back in a bold new way that players have never seen him," says Tom Byron, director of product marketing for LucasArts. "INDIANA JONES AND THE EMPEROR'S TOMB faithfully recreates all the heroism, action and edge-of-the-seat adventure of the blockbuster film series thanks to a state-of-the-art game engine, a rich story, and compelling gameplay."
INDIANA JONES AND THE EMPEROR'S TOMB is set to be released this fall on the Playstation 2, Xbox and PC.
