New International Posters for DARK KNIGHT

If you've watched I AM LEGEND by the time you're reading this article sometime today, you would have seen the new trailer for THE DARK KNIGHT. If you saw the IMAX version of the film, you have seen the Joker prologue as well. Hopefully, those two trailers will be made available online in the next few days, which I'll then pass along to everyone else. As fellow Maniac Hanso says in comment #32 below, the trailers should make their way online Sunday at this official site.

For now, here's a new international poster for the next Batman film by way of the guys over at Omelete. The film stars Christian Bale, Heath Ledger, Aaron Eckhart, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Gary Oldman, Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman. Christopher Nolan directs off a screenplay he wrote alongside his brother Johnathan Nolan.

Plot Summary: Christian Bale once again embodies the man behind the mask in "The Dark Knight." The film reunites Bale with director Christopher Nolan and takes Batman across the world in his quest to fight a growing criminal threat. With the help of Lieutenant Jim Gordon (Gary Oldman) and District Attorney Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart), Batman has been making headway against local crime...until a rising criminal mastermind known as The Joker (Heath Ledger) unleashes a fresh reign of chaos across Gotham City. To stop this devious new menace--Batman's most personal and vicious enemy yet--he will have to use every high-tech weapon in his arsenal and confront everything he believes.

THE DARK KNIGHT will hit theaters July 18, 2008.

Here's the new international poster.

Oh so sweeeeeeeeeeeet. When are the domestic ones going to come out?

Pretty sweet. I hope the domestics are this original. Looking forward to this one. I really liked the '89 Batman and was a hater when they announced Batman Begins, but I'll have to admit this series, if it continues to be as awesome as it started, will go down as the definitive version of the Caped Crusader on film.

My peeps!!
You need to head on over to superherohype.com to check out the domestic posters featuring The Joker. They are even more sweeeeeeeeeeeet than this international one with Batman.
Also, the trailer is said to be out early next week in case you don't make it to I Am Legend this weekend.
Oh I hope someone makes a bootleg copy of the Joker prologue showing on the IMAX version of I Am Legend!

Holy $hi+. I saw a bootleg of the trailer over on another website (sorry!) this morning. Now it's saying "This video is no longer available." I take back anything I may have said doubting the casting of Heath Ledger. It looks amazing. He looks and sounds incredible. Some people, like my wife, may not like it because he's not Caesar Romero or Jack Nicholson. But my God, this Joker fits in the Batman Begins universe. F--- me, but it looked good!

For those interested in seeing it, i searched bootleg dark knight trailer over on youtube and got a link.
I can't wait to see it tommorow when I go see I AM Legend. Now if only someone would upload the bootleg version of the prologue.
