Even though I'm a loyal fan of the Arnold films, I want this to be good. Maybe Kahl Drogo will give someone else a golden crown in this movie.

Just a few weeks after showing off a red band trailer for their upcoming reboot of Conan the Barbarian, Lionsgate and director Marcus Nispel have unleashed a new international teaser courtesy of their official facebook. Check it out below and sound off with your thoughts.
The adventure stars Jason Momoa, Rachel Nichols, Stephen Lang, Rose McGowan, Saïd Taghmaoui, Ron Perlman, Leo Howard, Steve O'Donnell, Raad Rawi Fassir, Nonso Anozie, Bob Sapp and Milton Welsh. Helmer Nispel was behind the camera, based on a screenplay by Thomas Dean Donnelly, Joshua Oppenheimer and Sean Hood.
Plot Concept: The most legendary Barbarian of all time is back this Summer. Having thrived and evolved for eight consecutive decades in the public imagination - in prose and graphics, on the big screen and small, in games and properties of all kinds- Conan's exploits in the Hyborian Age now come alive like never before in a colossal 3D action-adventure film. A quest that begins as a personal vendetta for the fierce Cimmerian warrior soon turns into an epic battle against hulking rivals, horrific monsters, and impossible odds, as Conan realizes he is the only hope of saving the great nations of Hyboria from an encroaching reign of supernatural evil.
Conan the Barbarian slays 3D/2D theaters on August 19, 2011.

I think this is looking good. This trailer is much better than the US trailer. Ill be there
Ditto that Tevii. I'm there opening night, always loved Conan. Have ba big collection of the Marvel Conan magazine, not to mention their regular comic run. But the magazine even though was black and white rocked. Oh and the cover art was always awesome as well as the extra pin-ups they'd add inside.
Every trailer I've seen has looked better and better. And I think, after recently re-reading some of the original Conan stories, that Momoa fits the look of Conan far better than body builder Arnold did. I loved the Arnold versions, don't get me wrong. But I think this will be a bit more of what Howard envisioned when he created the character. And my memory of James Earl Jones as Thulsa Doom was that of a cardboard cut out with an evil scowl on his face and Darth Vader's voice. It has been a while since I've seen the first one, so I may be wrong. But that's the first thought that pops in my head.
While I still wanna see this, and all the trailers have been decent, I didn't actually like this one. Just something in the design of the trailer didn't jel with me. Has nothing to do with the movie itselt, just the trailer.
What's more is it looks like they got a decent budget or good f/x for half price, and seems like it will take place over many locales. And yeah, let's hope some Drogo oozes out. That guy was intense. No wonder he needed to bed a female dragon. He's like Superman. If he blew his load in any lesser of a woman, it may have punched through her spine like a 12-gauge.
I can't wait to see this.
Everyone has to get out of the mindset that the Arnold Conan is the true R.E,Howard Conan. No. The Arnold one is patterned after Boris Vallejo art. This version of Conan seems truer to the character.
Kind of reminds me several years ago with Ang Lee's Hulk. I remember the Hulk TV fans complaining "the Hulk is not that big, since when can he toss tanks around? He should be a muscular guy painted green, no a CGI 15 foot tall giant" facepalm...
Conan kicks ass. Howard kicks ass. This movie will kick ass and it will get even better when they make more sequels. I don't even mind if they make a bunch of movies that are not even connected. Very few of the Howard stories had anything to do with the others. And everyone who has said it is right, this Conan is far more true to the original materials than the Arnold film every was.
Seriously...how can you get excited by this SyFy level crap. Good trailers? You guys are really in need of a Conan fix. OMG, this looks like #@$!.
Thankfully, the simplicity of it makes it good for me. It doesn't have that overtly manufactured sterile quality to it like so many movies have these days. If I'm going to be picky about this trailer, I'll say that that child Conan shouldn't have been able to lift that sword so easily unless he was one strong little bastard, and he didn't look like one strong little bastard. Anyway, I like the look of the movie. I like the characters in it. And I like Jason Momoa as Conan.
Meh....no thanks. Looks terrible!!! I'll take Arnie's Conan over this mess! James Earl Jones!!! Excellent Thulsa Doom! And without Basil Poledouris' fantastic music, this one is also lacking in THAT area!!
