The New JUSTICE LEAGUE Cast?

A Warner Bros. source told Robert Sanchez at IESB last Monday that the cast for the JLA film was locked and would be made public within a week. This was in spite of trade reports two weeks ago that pointed out that the film was in question due to the WGA strike and related issues. Well, the week has come and gone without an official press release but that's not to say we don't have new information on the project.

Superhero Hype has received a list over the weekend on the possible cast for this upcoming JUSTICE LEAGUE film. I say possibly because even SHH! points out the list isn't confirmed and a more recent Hollywood Reporter article again puts this film into jeopardy.

Batman - Armie Hammer
Wally West/The Flash - Anton Yelchin
Aquaman - Santiago Cabrera
Iris - Zoe Kazan
Wonder Woman - Megan Gale
Talia al Ghul - Teresa Palmer
Green Lantern - Common

As I say, this list is in jeopardy and a recent Hollywood Reporter piece can explain why the press release for JLA never came this past week. The trade tell us that this film has joined the upcoming Da Vinci Code prequel along with a few others as most likely not making production due to WGA issues.

At Warner Bros., "Justice League of America" finds itself without a shooting script and has options expiring on potential actors who recently were screen tested. As a result, it might have to postpone production.
