20th Century Fox has unleashed a full new theatrical trailer for their Tom Cruise action-comedy Knight and Day. You can check it out down below. The film stars Cruise, Cameron Diaz, Peter Sarsgaard, Viola Davis, Olivier Martinez, Paul Dano, Maggie Grace, Mark Blucas and Jordi Molla. Director James Mangold helmed the production from a script he wrote with Scott Frank.
Plot Concept: The story centers on a lonely woman (Diaz) whose seemingly harmless blind date suddenly turns her life upside-down when a super spy (Cruise) takes her on a violent worldwide journey to protect a powerful battery that holds the key to an infinite power source. Grace is playing Diaz's sister, who is getting married, excited that Diaz will take the place of their late father and walk her down the aisle.
I liked this since the first trailer, I think it looks like a great time. I know there's some hate for Cruise but I still like a lot of his work, I don't care if he's playing the same guy over and over like some say. He's a good actor IMO.
And I'd see this a million times before that shit with Ashton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl. Nothing against Kutcher but I will never pay to see that biatch Heigl
Agree with you there, Wise. Found both the teaser and this latest trailer amusing. Whoever convinced Tom Cruise to do that hilarious cameo in Tropic Thunder and this role did wonders for his public image. He does action-comedy very well, just going off the trailers.
F in the A!!! That movie looks awsome. I must be out of it because this is the first i've heard of it. I'm a Cruise fan too. Don't really care what he does in his personal life as long as he keeps pumping out the great flicks i'm a happy guy. And I agree with you guys on Tropic Thunder too. His role was unreal! This guy has alwyas had a ton of talent.
I thought this movie looked good from the teaser. Even better now. I wonder, after seeing this though, if his character focuses on her because she's secretly a spy too. Or if she used to be, and she's trying to go straight. The whole spin around on the motorcycle and shoot the tires out sequence was a bit much for a random woman met on a plane. Regardless, it looks pretty good. I'll probably check it out.
Last night was the first I've heard if it as well Bryzarro. I usually don't comment on whether a movie will be good or bad before it comes out. I like to give most things a chance. My immediate reaction when first seeing the trailer was that this movie is going to be horrible and will bomb. Clicked the link to here and was surprised to see all 3 comments thinking it looked good. I don't mind Cruise at all. It might just be the scene at the end when Diaz turns and shoots on the motorcycle that turned me off. I'm sticking with horrible.
Tom Cruise is one of my favorite actors and I hope that this comedy places him where he belongs- right at the top. I'm not so sure about Cameron being the right actress; I would have preferred Drew Barrymore. Tne supporting cast is superb, especially Peter Sarsgaard who has a knack for making every movie where he appears so much better.
This movie looked stupid to me ever since I've seen it. Lame asscliche' jokes up the wazoo just in the trailer alone. And I don't have anything against any of them. It just seems very paint by numbers. I couldn't help but roll my eyes watching the trailer in theaters.
I felt the same way about the teaser MrJawbreak. I rolled my eyes as well. This full trailer came across a bit better but still didn't convince me to go see it. Unless there is nothing else out that I want to see at the time, I'll probably wait for it on blu ray.
On occasion I still watch a Tom Cruise movie. War of the Worlds was one of the last good ones he made, I think. Didn't like Mission: Impossible III, but I will probably watch the fourth one when it comes out. Unlikely that I'll see Knight & Day in the theaters. I thought Cameron Diaz was good in Vanilla Sky, one of the more engaging films Cruise has been in. The same goes for The Last Samurai.
