Looks like the makers of this film were able to get a US distibutor afterall. It has a nice appearance, but I'mnot quite sold yet.... Gonna need to see more than just the previous making-of and this teaser.
Magnolia Pictures and Magnet Releasing have revealed the latest teaser trailer for Monsters, the upcoming alien dna tale from the mind of director Gareth Edwards. Check it out below. Scoot McNairy and Whitney Able star in the sci-fi thriller that will see a limited release this Halloween.
Plot Concept: Six years ago previously, a NASA probe returning to earth with samples of an alien life form, crashed over Central America. Soon after, new life forms began to appear, and half of Mexico was quarantined as an INFECTED ZONE. Today, the American and Mexican military still struggle to contain "the creatures"... The story begins when a US journalist agrees to escort a shaken American tourist through the infected zone in Mexico to the safety of the US border.

Like 28 days later meets District 9. I'm still on the fence. I'll just wait until it's out on DVD.
I enjoy a good monster/alien movie so I'll check this out. The trailer has more of a Cloverfield feel to it then 28 Days Later
Loved both the movies it's compared to (and heavily borrowing from) so I'll definitely catch this one in the theater if this podunk little town of mine actually gets it.
Ok I'm not seeing District 9 here at all. Nor 28 days. And no hand cam like cloverfield, so not sure what you guys are all talking about, but I was thinking ok will this be good or not as I am watching it. Until the truck got lifted by a giant arm. That sold me. I'm looking forward to this, but want to see a better trailer.
Being a creature feature lover, I'm in! I just hope that by monsters they mean several different kind and not just many of one.
I'll check this one out.
It kinda reminds me of Stalker but I doubt it will be as smart. Probably just another monster flick but I don't mind. :D
