Summit Entertainment has unleashed a new featurette for The Twilight Saga: New Moon. The clip below gives a new inside look at the newly introduced "Wolf Pack" which protects the tribe in Stephenie Meyer's popular series. The sequel stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Ashley Greene, Rachelle Lefevre, Billy Burke, Peter Facinelli, Nikki Reed, Kellan Lutz, Jackson Rathbone, Michael Sheen and Dakota Fanning. Director Chris Weitz helmed from a screenplay by Melissa Rosenberg.

Plot Concept: In the second installment of Stephenie Meyer's phenomenally successful "Twilight" series, the romance between mortal and vampire soars to a new level as Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) delves deeper into the mysteries of the supernatural world she yearns to become part of—only to find herself in greater peril than ever before.

Following Bella's ill-fated 18th birthday party, Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) and his family abandon the town of Forks, Washington, in an effort to protect her from the dangers inherent in their world. As the heartbroken Bella sleepwalks through her senior year of high school, numb and alone, she discovers Edward's image comes to her whenever she puts herself in jeopardy. Her desire to be with him at any cost leads her to take greater and greater risks.

With the help of her childhood friend Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner), Bella refurbishes an old motorbike to carry her on her adventures. Bella's frozen heart is gradually thawed by her budding relationship with Jacob, a member of the mysterious Quileute tribe, who has a supernatural secret of his own.

When a chance encounter brings Bella face to face with a former nemesis, only the intervention of a pack of supernaturally large wolves saves her from a grisly fate, and the encounter makes it frighteningly clear that Bella is still in grave danger. In a race against the clock, Bella learns the secret of the Quileutes and Edward's true motivation for leaving her. She also faces the prospect of a potentially deadly reunion with her beloved that is a far cry from the one she'd hoped for. With more of the passion, action and suspense that made "Twilight" a worldwide phenomenon, "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" is a spellbinding follow-up to the box office hit.

The Twilight Saga: New Moon will hit theaters November 20, 2009.

Starlight I know you'll be here you Twilight loving basterd.  I would leave you a commment on your profile but the site sucks balls and hasn't fixed the profiles yet and I doubt they ever will.  Still, check this link out:

http://scriptshadow.blogspot.com/

That right there is one of my current fave sites and they got a script contest you may want to enter with the stuff you got.  It's free so give it a shot.  Best of luck if you decided to enter.

Oh and Twilight sucks balls!

JarrodSarafin 10/28/2009 3:52:50 AM

No. Twilight doesn't in fact suck balls, Hanso.

StarlightGuard 10/28/2009 4:45:03 AM

see? Hanso is a gentleman....he may not like the sparkly vamps...but he's still a somewhat good person.

so Jarrod....is this what insomnia does to you? I hope that's not a recent image :)

I've been wondering -- though I am a Twilight fan on facebook, and  I pick up the illustrated companions, etc., I still can't really figure out why Taylor Lautner was cast as the future werewolf boy....compared to those guys (which, I believe, had to prove their Native American descent) Taylor's just sort of...well....he doesn't completely look the part in the terms of skin tone

and the more images I've seen, the more it's apparent the studio wanted this to be all about the guy flesh....even Lautner, who's still a damned kid....didn't they tell him "bulk up or get out?" ....sure it's a movie for girls (and madmen like me) but making a 16 year old boy a sex symbol? he's described as just being tall and thin with the long hair in the book....

also....there's a bit of a double standard in the first movie where the girls are trying on their dresses, the one remarks "okay, I like this one -- it makes my boobs look good," and then a few seconds later the guys come by, do their catcalls and beat on the window.....and then that's treated as being disgusting.....

Jarrod this is another perfect example of a case where you are 100% wrong and I on the other hand, well I'm 100% right.

While the purpose of my visit to this particular thread was merely to inform Starlight about a script contest I will now proceed to point out without a shadow of a doubt that Twilight does indeed suck balls.

Let’s look past the fact that the Twilight vampires are different than the more common mythology, I mean it’s not like vampires exist so we won’t take points from Stephanie Meyer for doing her own thing and let’s also look past the fact that grown men aren’t the demographic for these teenage girls based book.

Now that we’ve done that, I will tell you why it sucks balls. The books and therefore the movies are aimed at teenage girls but the main character Bella has to be one of the worst characters that young girls read. I think I brought this up once but it needs to be repeated.

Check this; Bella’s entire life revolves around a man called Edward, a stalker mind you. Bella has no goals in life except being with this cat and having his child. That’s it that is all Bella wants and needs. She’ll give up her family and friends before she gives up Edward. Ok so a chic that entire reason for existing is a man that isn’t that bad right? Here is where it gets worse though.

Bella gets played by Edward time and time again and still keeps on wanting to be with that bastard. Edward says he wants to be her, then he says he can’t be with her, then he can, then he can’t, etc. Playing mind games with the chic but Bella just takes the abuse because she really loves him! How sweet. Meanwhile she has another cat after her, Jacob, which by all accounts actually gives a damn about her and will probably treat her right but of course he isn’t getting no play cause he doesn’t treat her like dirt.

To top it all off Bella is so depressed that Edward leaves her that she proceeds to do some death defying stunts like bike riding and jumping off a cliff into the cold water trying to commit suicide! Without the man she has no purpose so she might as well kill herself. What kind of message is being sent to the target audience for these books and films? The message is simple and clear. Girls get with a man; have no goals in your sad pathetic life except to be with that man and if he doesn’t want you just kill yourself.

And that is why Twilight sucks balls.

Hanso's got wolf pack envy. He's not nearly as hot as the boys in the pic above. :)

did you even read New Moon, hanso old boy?

why TDK sucks balls -- my cat Marshmallow slept through the entire showing of it as she and I watched it together....my dear pussycat couldn't be bothered with a giant flapping bat movie....and that is why TDK sucks balls

I'm sad to say that Marshmallow isn't here anymore. She's actively ignoring TDK somewhere on the other side.

I bookmarked that site hanso -- I hate loglines, summing up an entire movie in one sentence? can't be done -- or at least it shouldn't be done. Especially when Sweet Dreams runs a healthy 139 pages.

hanso 10/28/2009 5:42:28 AM

Of course I didn't read the book, I make my assumptions and form my opinions off 2 minute trailers and second hand information, it is the Hanso way!

Well glad you checked the site out.  I'm not a writer so I have no use for the tips and stuff but I enjoy reading the script reviews plus he gives out tips at the end of every review about what to do and what not do when writing on a particular genre.  They cover all genres on the site, old and new scripts and they usually review one script per day.  You may find the site useful even if you don't end up entering the contest.

Lame ass vampire stories with Teen beat boy band vampires that are badly written and cynically produced as a movie to cash in on GIRLIE crushings of lonely goth-wannabe pre-pubescent giggly girls SUCK! This sh1t has got to be one of the most annoying trends ever! It's not so much that it's produced--every genre has a right to be produced for every taste--but the fact that it's SO HYPED and in your face whether you want to see it or not and the fact that the stories are SOOOOO f@#$%ing LAME (take High School Musical storyline and replace alienated preppy jock with brooding vampire who falls for lonely artsy girl, defends her from jock buddies/vampire buddies and voila).

Ugh. This is so freaking annoying. (and this is a cleaned up post--free from profanities as a warning window told me)

Darkknight2280 10/28/2009 11:12:48 AM

Twilight Sucks hairy BALL SACKS!! Starlight Gaurd, did you blow your load all over the computer once you saw the new footage?

Have to say the SFX they used to create the "werewolves" looks pretty freaking crappy. For such a "popular" movie you would think they would pay more money for the SFX. Since most of the actors in this thing are B-C list i think they could have afforded to get better SFX.

StarlightGuard 10/28/2009 2:06:53 PM

I've been saying from the get go that Weitz, so far, doesn't seem to have the stuff needed to direct this. I've also said the CGI (as based on the trailer from Reelz Channel) looked...well...terrible, especially when we have Aslan from NARNIA.

Summit is obviously hoping, like other studios, to make it as cheap as they can to bring in as much money as they can. Weitz, so far, is still a bad choice. Hardewicke shouldn't have been kicked to the curb. This is more about backstabbing and penny pinching than actually producing a good final product -- just get the final product out there and we'll make more money on the cheap.

sharpe and darkknight, I'm warming up the strings section for you...but mostly for you darkknight... :)

help! I'm drowning in your river of sorrows and tears

as for Hanso, I'd still wait to see if he'd actually sit down and read the book first because, as Jarrod already knows, the differences are quite obvious

fft5305 10/28/2009 7:27:26 PM

Well, actually hanso, the part about the death-defying stunts would be why New Moon sucks balls, not Twilight.  I'll give you the part about Edward being a stalker and Bella wanting to give up everything to be with him.  However, the part about Edward playing her like a yo-yo and her wanting to be with him all the more despite the fact that she has a nice guy who would support her standing by who she kicks to the curb... well, that's just life. That's high school.  So, 2 out of 3 of your paragraphs, I take exception to.  So I'd say at most, Twilight only sucks 1/3 balls...
