It seems MTV has the exclusives from Summit Entertainment for their upcoming sequel, The Twilight Saga: New Moon. The cable network's MTV Movie Awards premiered the teaser trailer a few months back and now, the upcoming VMA awards will show off an extended clip as well, says the video clip below.

The sequel stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Ashley Greene, Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Reaser, Kellan Lutz, Nikki Reed, Jackson Rathbone, Edi Gathegi, Rachelle Lafevre, Billy Burke, Charlie Bewley, Jamie Campbell Bower, Daniel Cudmore, Christopher Heyerdahl, Dakota Fanning, Cameron Bright, Noot Seer, Michael Sheen, Graham Greene and Tinsel Korey. Director Chris Weitz led the production from a screenplay by Melissa Rosenberg.

So check out MTV's VMA Awards on Sunday, September 13, 2009 at 9PM to see an extended preview of the highly-anticipated sequel. The cast will be in the audience. You can also check out some pics of the royal Volturi coven here.

The Twilight Saga: New Moon will hit theaters November 20, 2009.

GO GO Starlightguard, to the rescue!!!

JarrodSarafin 9/3/2009 2:45:58 AM

Hah, as soon as I began typing this piece out, I was thinking how long before Starlight's name would be mentioned. First comment.

And Starlight doesn't need to come to the rescue, Chop. Like Twilight last fall season, Fandango says New Moon is the #1 anticipated film of the 2009 winter months. Even over Avatar. Twilight expectation beat out Harry Potter 6 anticipation last year...and now New Moon expectation owns everything else this upcoming season.

Yes, I know that Fandango polls or (any polls) shouldn't be trusted but I think that this is one of those examples where there's quite a few fans who read or can't wait, but don't post feedback comments.

I totally believe it, just look at what that demographic did for Titanic.

I'm here!

I slept in by about an hour....but I'm here!

must...watch....MTV for Twilight related material....

I'll be there again, amongst the screaming girls. God I hope that now 14 year old texting machine won't be pacing the aisles on her cellular phone going OMG. I'M LIKE SO HERE AND STUFF

Darkknight2280 9/3/2009 7:43:20 AM

If it has to do with Twilight, you know all the 14 year olds are gonna be texting. Networks will be bogged down with such hot words and phrases like: OMG, LOL, HOT, Sparkling, LIKE, STUFF, LUB, LOVE, BFF, FTW and WTF.

MTV, Twilight and 14 year olds go together like Cocaine and Andy Dick! :)

StarlightGuard 9/3/2009 7:53:47 AM

yeah, I hate to agree with darkknight (actually no I don't) but yeah, MTV has.....well honestly, what the hell has happened to MTV?

I didn't watch it much to begin with, but they're showing Degrassi in the morning now? why? their target audience is in school, being bored by History classes?

Viacom (it is still viacom, right?) is blurring the lines between Nick, MTV, and just about everything else they seem to own....

on this, darkknight is absolutely correct....and I can't understand why MTV has brought this upon them.....I really can't.....MTV used to be dangerous and edgy.....at least in this area it was.....these people fought like hell to keep MTV off the cable channels back in the 90's

Hobbs 9/3/2009 7:55:48 AM

I have to admit the only reason I check these articles out is to see the Starlight comments.

Just curious, if Twlight was more anticipated than Harry Potter what did it do at the BO?  I'm not being a smart ass, I really don't know.  Harry Potter 6 is almost at 300 mil in the U.S.

Wiseguy 9/3/2009 7:56:39 AM

MTV's show Behind the Screen is coming back tomorrow at 7pm and will have footage of the new Clash of the Titans and Ninja Assassin to boot.

At least they put on some stuff for boys to make up for Twilight

hanso 9/3/2009 8:19:08 AM

Hobbs - Anticipation ain't shit!  Harry Potter raped Twilight and will rape New Moon and any other retarded vampire book in that horrible series.

StarlightGuard 9/3/2009 8:41:52 AM

is it just me, or did Harry Potter disappear really quickly from theaters this year?

it did here....and I can't figure out why...I thought it'd stick around longer than it did

and (for hanso) anticipation is a big thing....hanso's rubbing his hands together already to make sure their warm when he gives Nolan a handjob the night the third Batastic movie debuts :)
