Nearly two months after revealing the first teaser trailer for their 3D release of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, 20th Century Fox has included a special new trailer attached to the DVD release of Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Not to worry if you didn't buy that Maniacs because was kind enough to pass the trailer along to the online media. Check out the new trailer and the original teaser down below.

The third installment in the series--and the first to be distributed by Fox--the film stars Ben Barnes, Liam Neeson, Georgie Henley, Skandar Keynes, Will Poulter, Gary Sweet, Bruce Spence, Arthur Angel and Shane Rangi. Michael Apted handled the direction this time around, based on a screenplay by Christopher Markus, Stephen McFeely, Richard LaGravenese and Michael Petroni.

Plot Concept: This time around – Edmund and Lucy Pevensie, along with their pesky cousin Eustace Scrubb – find themselves swallowed into a painting and on to a fantastic Narnian ship headed for the very edges of the world. Joining forces once again with their royal friend Prince Caspian and the warrior mouse Reepicheep, they are whisked away on a mysterious mission to the Lone Islands, and beyond. On this bewitching voyage that will test their hearts and spirits, the trio will face magical Dufflepuds, sinister slave traders, roaring dragons and enchanted merfolk. Only an entirely uncharted journey to Aslan's Country – a voyage of destiny and transformation for each of those aboard the Dawn Treader – can save Narnia, and all the astonishing creatures in it, from an unfathomable fate.

Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader will hit 3D/2D theaters December 10, 2010.

This looks awesome! My kids are obsessed with the 'Aslan' films, they are gonna be stoked when they see this one.

Narnia is better than Harry "butthole" Potter for me.

Wow Dazzler, that is a bold statement.

For me, they are both good but, I have more ''involvement'' in the Potter world then narnia. I see Narnia as more a kids story Vs. Potter who started as a kid but clearly has grown-up and any adult can relate.

Will probably see this one in theatre, in 2D obviously.

I feel the exact same way as JediBanner in terms of  Potter/Narnia. To me Harry Potter started out as a kids story but with every movie, especially after Prisoner of Azkaban, the stories became more adult oriented and more interesting, which made them easier to relate to. Narnia is more fantastical, which is cool, but I enjoy Potter more.

I really haven't cared for the Narnia films. God I hated that first one... But as a kid Dawn Treader was my favorite book of the series. Now that I'm older I just cant get passed the "christian propaganda" that permeates this series. Never read or saw Harry Potter so I cant comment on Daz's comment but jedibanner is right, thats a mighty bold statement. If box office receipts and book sales are any indication Harry beats Narnina hands down. But good for you its refreshing to see someone break away from the pack.

These movies are getting progressively worse and worse.  Wardrobe was close enough to the book to really fun.  Prince Caspian was crap.  This one looks dreadful.  Granted this is coming from a fan of the books, so I'm very disappointed.

And what in the HELL are Peter and Susan doing there?!?!  They aren't in the books at all (except for a brief mention here and there) from Dawn Treader to The Last Battle.  Will someone who's making this movie please read the damn book!

Harry Potter is way better than "Butthole" Narnia to me, Dazzler.  Actually I like them both, but Potter has become great cinema.  Each of those movies has gotten better.  So far Narnia took a huge step back with it's second attempt.  I hope this brings back the magic as I really enjoyed teh first film.

I don't know why so many people make such a big deal about "Christian Propaganda" in Narnia, for one thing Christians have weaseled their propaganda into the fabric of society in every corner, to the point most people don't realise they do it. For Another the Christian elements were put in Narnia because he wrote it for either his niece or Grand daughter, and it was what she was interested in, as well as to trick Jesus freaks into thinking it was an acceptable story to let their kids read, despite the magic, and blasphemy. C.S. Lewis was an Atheist through his death, The fact that people think his books are Christian is a testament to how good he was at subverting them.

That said, Narnia is a superior series as far as quality, maybe not ticket sales, but the Books themselves are much better. 50 years from now people won't likelky be reading Harry Potter books anymore, the fad will die in another generation, but Narnia will always be around.

Still haven't seen Prince Caspian, but I enjoyed Wardrobe. Nowhere near on the level that I enjoyed the Potter series. I read the Narnia series when I was younger, but don't recall enjoying them nearly as much as I currently enjoy the Potter books.

By the way, does anyone else find it odd that the first official full trailer is a minute shorter than the previously-released teaser?
