Walt Disney has unleashed a new featurette on Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time courtesy of Yahoo Movies. You can check out the clip, which looks into Jake Gyllenhaal's character Dastan, down below. The film stars Gyllenhaal, Ben Kingsley, Gemma Arterton, Alfred Molina and Toby Kebbell. Director Mike Newell led behind the camera from a story by Doug Miro and Carlo Bernard.
Plot Concept: Based on the best-selling video game franchise, the story centers on a rogue prince (Jake Gyllenhaal) reluctantly joins forces with a mysterious princess (Gemma Arterton) and together, they race against dark forces to safeguard an ancient dagger capable of releasing the Sands of Time—a gift from the gods that can reverse time and allow its possessor to rule the world.
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time will hit theaters May 28, 2010.

Not sure how to feel about this movie. Gyllenhaal seems miscast here. I like him, but he doesn't look Persian to me AT ALL! I don't know. It might be a fun movie, but it could just as easily be a piece of crap.
I probably won't see it in the theater.
