Walt Disney Pictures has unleashed a second trailer for Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time courtesy of the studio's youtube page. Check it out down below. Based on the best-selling video game franchise, the fantasy adventure will star Jake Gyllenhaal, Ben Kingsley, Gemma Arterton, Alfred Molina and Toby Kebbell. Director Mike Newell helmed the production from a screenplay by Doug Miro and Carlo Bernard.

Plot Concept: Walt Disney Pictures and Jerry Bruckheimer Films present "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time," an epic action-adventure set in the mystical lands of Persia. A rogue prince (Jake Gyllenhaal) reluctantly joins forces with a mysterious princess (Gemma Arterton) and together, they race against dark forces to safeguard an ancient dagger capable of releasing the Sands of Time—a gift from the gods that can reverse time and allow its possessor to rule the world.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time will hit theaters May 28, 2010.

There is hope for video game movies yet.

The only video game to movie transition I'd like to see is the Halo Franchise-

My wish list for this movie-

Director- Peter Jackson

Special Effects- Weta Workshop

Role Of Master Chief- Perhaps Someone likeJason Stathom or Tom Berringer

Role Of Cortana- Let her be Special Efrfects A.I. and use the same woman who Voices her in the game Voice her in the movie- That would send fanboys in a tizzy. (The Samething ws done in the HITMAN movie- diana makes a call to 47 at the begining of the movie- it was a nice tribute to her from the games...

Thats what I'd like to see

I really like this.  Can't wait to see it.  Without Uwe Boll attached in any way, there might yet be hope for a video game movie!!

Gotta go with hanso on this one. This looks pretty hot. It's got the same vibe as the 1st Pirates. I'm looking forward to it.

Not to enthusiastic bout it but I does look promising. . . . . . .  as did so many other video game movies that came before it.

I think this does look like a decent movie. And since Uwe Boll is not attached, that makes it even better in my opinion.

As for the Halo movie...I agree with Calibur454 on everyrthing but Master Chief. I think there should be just some stuntman in Chiefs armor and then use a voice over. Someone with a deep or gruff/gravelly voice. Cortana I think they could use real person, since she based her look on the person who designed her. But Jen Taylor as her voice if they went CG would very nice.

This looks really bad-ass. I agree with fft, it does have that "fun" Pirates vibe, which is totally OK by me. I had no expectations for Pirates and ended up loving it, so I am trying to do the same with this movie.
