New Photos for DRAGONBALL Cast

Want to know how the cast of Dragonball will look in the adaptation of the anime? Well, you can see in the link below courtesy of DBtheMovie scanning Roadshow magazine. The upcoming 20th Century Fox adaptation of the best selling anime will star Justin Chatwin (Goku), Emmy Rossum (Bulma), Chow Yun-Fat (Master Roshi), Joon Park (Yamcha) and Jamie Chung (Chi-Chi). X-Files veteran James Wong penned the screenplay and directed.

Plot Summary: "Dragonball" is adapted from the manga created by Akira Toriyama; the work was also turned into a Japanese anime series that played all over the world. It tells the story of an alien sent to destroy Earth, who has a change of heart and decides to join the humans in their fight against various aliens and bad guys.

Dragonball will hit theaters April 10, 2009.

I can't wait for this movie. Story is going to suck probably, but I want some good fights in Dragonball style which should be what this is about.

these photos dont do anything for me, personally. also in that one pic of Goku holding the dragonball, it looked like the little stars were added after... lame.

this could be worse than scooby doo.

I'm not concerned for the story... DB is mostly one big fight surrounded by "OMG, he has elevated to 1021343132546420 power level", "now he's at 35635632167465165769876516".

Now, I hope the fights are good and show respect to the series. Oh, and that the effects do not overkill the actual martial acts.

I dont know. It doesnt look radical enough!!! He looks like any dude that grew up on Earth to me, with powers of course. The Hair totally not working for me, its not tall enough not dark enough. He's not Built like a Saiyan or rather Saiyajin if you prefer. You know what I'm Saiyan?

I've always had faith in this film, sure it might not be a huge blockbuster, but i think it will be fairly decent. Stephen Chow's Kung Fu Hustle was a perfect example of an anime brought to life and with him producing i'm excited. Plus it sounds to me they aren't even taking the tv series into consideration for this, i've noticed they always refer to the manga books when talking about the source material. I say bring this on, then bring on some DBZ storylines, i've been waiting forever to see Vegeta on the big screen.
