Plot Summary: From the beloved best-selling series of books comes "The Spiderwick Chronicles," a fantasy adventure for the child in all of us. Peculiar things start to happen the moment the Grace family (Jared, his twin brother Simon, sister Mallory and their mom) leave New York and move into the secluded old house owned by their great, great uncle Arthur Spiderwick. Unable to explain the strange disappearances and accidents that seem to be happening on a daily basis, the family blames Jared. When he, Simon and Mallory investigate what's really going on, they uncover the fantastic truth of the Spiderwick estate and of the creatures that inhabit it.

THE SPIDERWICK CHRONICLES will hit standard and IMAX theaters Feb 15, 2008.

God I am tired of made for kiddie made up worlds that go nowhere movies. I mean no-God since I saw Golden Compass. These movies deserved to spoofed by the Wayans or something.

After LOTR and HP everyone is just trying to strike gold like those franchises. That's why we've seen so much of this sort of fantasy. I won't complain though, because before the aforementioned we were at the other end of the spectrum.

How many books in the series does the movie cover, because I want to read them before I see the movie..?!

I'm with Wiseguy. I'd rather have an overabundance of these movies than an under-abundance.

I hope this one's good. I haven't seen the Golden Compass either but from what I've heard, I'm hoping this will be better.
