New Poster and Redband Trailer for HAPPENING

A new international poster and redband trailer for The Happening has popped up online. Click on the photo to the left to check it out and down below for the redband trailer. The upcoming thriller is the first R-rated feature film from director M. Night Shyamalan. His new film, centering around an apocalyptic crisis, stars Mark Wahlberg, Zooey Deschanel, John Leguizamo, Betty Buckley, Spencer Breslin and Ashlyn Sanchez. M. Night led the project, based on a screenplay that he wrote for 20th Century Fox.

M.Night hasn't had the best of his former box office glory (The Sixth Sense and Signs) with The Village's okay results and The Lady in the Water's dismal results but this latest thriller, being the first to venture into R-rated territory, is hoping to regain some of his box office powers. It should be noted that it's going up against The Incredible Hulk though. Can his film take on the green superhero and still be successful?

Plot Summary: A couple goes on the run from an apocalyptic crisis that presents a
large-scale threat to humanity.

The Happening will hit theaters June 13, 2008.

I guess I haven't paid attention to the dates of both movies until now. That is going to be disasterous for The Happening. The typical PG-13 vs. R war that wages from time to time. But for me looks likes its going to be a double feature that weekend. I'll be paying for whichever one shows first lol

The Suicide Club was good...

Yooooooooo I have to say this movie looks sick. I cant wait to see it when it comes out. I am going to see two movies that weekend. Hulk and The Happening. This movie reminds me of this Japenese movie called the Suicide Club when everyone starts killing themselfs. But I am positive its going to be a different reason why. This trailer had me going oh shit LOL. And I loved the last part of the trailer when he saw all the people hanged on trees. And that part where the guy lays down to get run down by the farm machine siick man LOL. Fingers crossed on this one. :-)

Looks much better, and a hell of a lot more interesting than Lady in the Water... that movie just plain sucked. If this were opening later in the summer or fall it would do well, but with Hulk coming out the same day it is going to get smashed.

I may see this if there is enough gore and after seeing The Hulk a couple of times. I already know that the plot sucks but I may pay to see some people getting f***ed up. That's the only thing I'm looking forward to from this film. And I've liked pretty much all MNS work except for the Village. Anyway sometimes low expectations lead to a satisfying time. I'm looking forward more to The Strangers, that film looks very disturbing and scary to me.

Damn. Ok, that looks pretty good. Too bad it's going up against The Hulk. I'll probably see this the next weekend.
