Rob Cohen, like director Jon Favreau, has been very keen on keeping us up-to-date on his upcoming sequel The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. The man leading the third installment in the popular franchise has updated his official website once again with a new blog update and let us know that the first trailer should be appearing soon. He also revealed the new poster for the film, which you can see by clicking on the photo to the left.

The day has arrived that I can start showing you some of the film's advertising. Here for the first time in America is the teaser poster for our film. I hope you enjoy the image and that it stimulates your imagination of all the wonderful film moments that lie behind it. Plus, on Wednesday at midnight I will relaunch the design of this site with new photos, set designs and conceptual art drawings for your enjoyment.

As of now I have completed a little over 300 of 964 visual effects shots (I feel like I'm drowning) and it is all coming really well.

Starting May 27th I go to London to record Randy's score with the London Symphony Orchestra at Abbey Road, including traditional Chinese instruments, traditional Tibetan instruments, a choir, Buddhist monk chanters, and koto drum percussion. I will soon get back to you as to a debut date of the trailer.

Pretty nice looking teaser poster. Now if we could just get that trailer. I am not sold on taking Rachel Weisz out of the equation but still looking forward to some end of summer fun. On a side note am I the only one who thought the Scorpion King was much better than The Mummy Returns? Call me crazy.

Call you crazy, o.k. your crazy and you look a little like Patrick Swayze and if your playing games and not going to work then your lazy and if you smoke pot then your memories mite be hazy and I'm pretty sure you might have met a girl sometime in your life named Stacy and watched a movie called Dick Tracy but all of this fails in comparison to you being crazy...And now that I have said all of that, I agree with you, well now that I have even thought about it further, you are crazy, like a train...

Cool looking poster. Not so keen on Rob Cohen but I guess we`ll see. I mean its not like Sommers was a directorial genius.

I still feel seperation anxiety from my money following The Mummy II. I'll see this one if someone pays for my ticket, pays for the time I will lose from my life while sitting through the movie, and pain and suffering for the crap that they threw together and called the last movie.

This has a "Pirates of the Caribbean 3" feeling. Not good.

I liked POTC3, so that`s a good thing for me.

Enh. Not thrilled. No Weisz. No Sommers. This just screams money-grab to me. It's not like Fraser's really done much since Mummy 2. Quiet American was supposed to be pretty good. I didn't see Crash, so I don't know how big his part was. Anything else (of significance, that is)? Not really. And now he's got alimony & child support to pay...

Got to see the first trailer... If that single one basically tells you the whole movie, not a good sign.
