New Posters for PUNISHER Online

While hosting a party for the leading star Ray Stevenson, producer Gale Anne Hurd has revealed new posters for their upcoming reworking of Punisher: War Zone. The adaptation of the comic vigilante stars Stevenson, Dominic West, Doug Hutchinson, Colin Salmon, Wayne Knight, Dash Mihok and Julie Benz. Director Lexi Alexander led the production for Lionsgate, based on a screenplay that she co-wrote alongside Matt Holloway, Art Marcum and Nick Santora.

Plot Summary: Waging his one-man war on the world of organized crime, ruthless vigilante-hero Frank Castle sets his sights on overeager mob boss Billy Russoti. After Russoti is left horribly disfigured by Castle, he sets out for vengeance under his new alias: Jigsaw. With the "Punisher Task Force" hot on his trail and the FBI unable to take Jigsaw in, Frank must stand up to the formidable army that Jigsaw has recruited before more of his evil deeds go unpunished.

Punisher: War Zone will hit theaters December 5, 2008.

Actually NOTAFAN, its a Kevlar neck protector so stray bullets or metal fragments dont sever the Jugular vein which is a major artery and just below the surface of the skin. The military and police bomb squads use them. My friend is a marine and he used one on a few missions when in Iraq. So its pretty smart that the director and costume people decided to use that.

This movie is going to be great, Ray Stevensob looks just like the Alex Ross paintings of the Punisher. Trailer was pretty sweet.

Yeah, that first one is seriously BADASS! I would not want to fuck with that guy. That looks like they just took a picture of the Max Punisher. That is awesome!

Both poster looks great. I cant wait to see this movie it looks great. A very bigggggggg step up from the first. And the battle scenes look off the hook. I will be there.

in the last scene, tony stark approaches frank and tells him he's putting a team together. castle puts him down.

Both posters kick ass. As far as the Kevlar turtleneck goes it'd be a bold and interesting take on The Punisher if Stevenson played him as a metro sexual. Think about it.

I think his expression (or lack thereof) in the posters perfectly capture the hate/sorrow/emptiness/blackness of soul of the Punisher. Not often that you can see a picture like that and think 'there's a guy who doesn't care if he lives or dies, and would probably welcome death'. I just hope the action isn't too flamboyant (that chandelier thing in the trailer does not bode well IMO).
