After three previous adaptations of Hajime Kanzaka and Rui Araizumi's fantasy Slayers novel series, a fourth adaptation titled Slayers Revolution is getting ready to hit TV Tokyo in Japan on July 2, 2008. The channel's official website has released a 30 second promo in connection with the upcoming premeire, which you can watch by clicking here. The previous anime series, which were all eventually released here domestically, were titled Slayers, Slayers Next and Slayers Try.
The fifteen light novels from Hajime have also been adapted as two three-episode OVAs, five movies, three Sony Playstation games and a older SNES title.
Plot Concept: The story is described as a D&D parody that follows the adventures of the young sorceress Lina Inverse and her companions as they journey through their world. Using powerful magic and swordsmanship they battle overreaching wizards, demons seeking to destroy the world, dark lords, and the occasional hapless gang of bandits.
