She's baaaaack!

Lexi Alexander's conspicuous absence at Comic-Con this summer was followed by a flurry of online rumors saying that the director of Lionsgate's 'Punisher War Zone' movie may have had a falling out with the studio. Producer Gale Anne Hurd publicly denied the rumors stating that Alexander was on her honeymoon. Other parties associated with the movie also reinforced the notion that Alexander was still firmly attached to the movie she had filmed.

Still there were suspicious signs. Alexander had removed all references to the movie from her personal website at LexiAlexander.com, where she'd previously kept fans posted. And for the past several months Alexander herself remained invisible to online fans curious about the movie. She neither addressed the rumors nor spoke in promotion of the film itself.

Until yesterday, that is!

Now, the director has resurfaced, appearing on the PunisherWarZoneMovie.com website to introduce a new clip from the movie. Click through to the site to watch the new footage and hear Alexander message, assuring fans that a "great movie" is coming.

I think this looks hot. I just went through the first 2 trailers and the new clip. I don't care about the naysayers I think this is going to be better than TJ's Punisher. Really looking forward to this.

The clip looks AWESOME! There's more violence & killing in those few seconds, than in all of the Thomas Jane one! I've been wrong before (so, so wrong), but this movie looks pretty cool. That's a great action scene they choose to show - really makes me want to see the rest of this movie!

Ooh!!! I can say it some more...Max Payne ain't gon be SHIT!!! This just proved my point. If you're a cop and your family gets killed, your revenge HAS 2 be rated damn R!!!

HOLY SHIT!!!! this movie is gonna rock. An R rating is really the only way to do a Punisher movie. The others can be lightened up a bit but Frank needs to kick as and take names old school. I think they got a great Frank and Lexi seems to know how to raise the body count.

I'm down with the R rated violence, but I can't shake my skepticism for this movie. I still think too many of the clips have looked cheap and dark (as in hard to see--not the new TDK version of dark) I want it to be good, but I'm nervous. Also, we've said it before, but dude really does look like Segal from certain angles

*YAWN* Just because there's a clip of 6 seconds of action doesn't really make it a good action movie. The direction of the scene was somewhat choppy. Nothing significant, nothing special in my opinion...yet. At least he looks like Frank Castle.

Honestly, I didn't see anything new here in this clip that wasn't already shown in the red band trailer a few months back. It still looks like a bad Czech production of a movie on a Sci-Fi Channel budget. If they can show me a scene where someone actually talks, then maybe I'll take this P.O.S. seriously.

So much for the whole She's-Fired-from-the-Movie rumors. Not a whole lot new in this clip, but it's a better look at some of the action. Looks pretty decent, but like daforce, I would like to see some dialogue scenes before I declare this movie either the second coming or a massive P.O.S.
