I'd like to see him get a nod considering he's the actor he is; and I cannot tell you how far away from 2012 I will stay.

With the film's theatrical release four weeks away, the Weinstein Company has unleashed a new trailer for their apocalyptic tale The Road. You can check it out in the video player below courtesy of Yahoo Movies. Mania's Rob Vaux also gave the film an early thumbs up, which you can read about here.
The film stars Viggo Mortensen, Robert Duvall, Charlize Theron, Guy Pearce and Kodi Smit-McPhee. John Hillcoat directed the adaptation from a screenplay by Joe Penhall and Nick Wechsler.
Plot Concept: Based on Cormac McCarthy's best-selling, Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, the story follows a man (Mortensen) and his young son (Smit-McPhee) traveling through a desperate, post-apocalyptic world.
The Road will hit theaters November 25, 2009.

I have read the book and when I saw Theron in the cast, I was concerned how far the movie would venture from the book....but the trailer sets me straight.....Book was/is excellant and I am looking forward to the movie. Hope they can capture the feeling on film
Its like End of the World month with this and 2012 coming out. The Road looks damn good. I wonder Viggo gets an Oscar nom for this?
