We've known for sometime that producer Spielberg and director Bay were planning to shoot some scenes for Transformers 2 in or around Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. We've also known--due to casting calls---that a fictional Chinese city will the location of a battle scene between the Decepticons and the Autobots in the sequel set for next summer. Well, thanks to the latest blog here, it seems that the two go hand-in-hand with each other. Some of the first set photos behind the production appeared in the link above as well as some information behind the shoot.

Michael Bay is once again directed, based on a screenplay by Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and Ehren Kruger. While previous press releases in the trade announce that all the major principals will be returning, the only two confirmed individual cast members we have at this point are Shia LaBeouf and Isabel Lucas.

Transformers 2 will hit theaters June 26, 2009

Shia LaBlah sucked in Indiana over the weekend. I really would never want to see him again in a movie. Indiana Jones sucked also over the weekend. I don't see a weekend movie page yet so here ya go! Villains were not worthy enough for Indiana. Indiana looked way too old for this. Looks like pure hype is what brought people to the movies. Expect this to drop really fast next week.

Waiiiiiiiit wait wait Dazzler. Indiana Jones did not suck at all. I have to admit, it didnt have the same impact as the other movies, but it was a great movie non the less. Shia LaBeouf wasnt the best in the movie but he did pretty good. The few people I went with all enjoyed the movie alot including me. From the beginning they said that they wanted Indiana Jones to have that aging look and even Stephen Spielberg wanted Harrison Ford to stop working out for awhile. I cant wait for part 5 and will go see that also when it comes out. I just wish they will do the next movie about Atlantis that would be a hot story line.

Indiana blew wrinkly old man balls. There were some cool shots (Like the A-bomb), but all in all it was lame. The Tarzan shit was just too gay and had no place in an Indy movie. Lucas and Speilberg suck now and can't do anything right.

Indy 4 definitely did not "suck", but it did have problems. Shia though, was definitely not one of them. The people on this site love to hate on the dude. That trailer for Eagle Eye with him in it looked pretty cool.

Yea I don't understand the hate for this guy Shia either. I think he is a great little actor. The actors were good in Indy. It was the movie itself that I thought was terrible. What is up with all the unnecessary CGI. It took away from the movie badly. I felt exactly like I did in this movie as I did in Episode 1. George has never been a good writer maybe he lucked out with Star Wars. It was just a silly movie with bad bad bad slapstick garbage in it. It is really bad when I walk away loving National treasures and Sahara much much more than this film.

As for T2 I am in. The first had its faults but was very enjoyable. Looking forward to this one.

If you disagree with Indy watch raiders then run to the theater and watch Indy 4 and tell me then. Two completely different vibes of the two. Maybe that was my problem but I wanted it so badly to have the same serious tone to this one but was doomed the minute George penned it on paper.

I agree with Wolfman and Ponyboy....Indy 4 did not suck. I t certainly wasnt the best Indy film, but compared to some of the stuff out these days (anything by Uwe Boll) it was ok. And i have to admit, I am a Shia fan....think this kid is gonna be huge. Forget the big blockbuster films, take a look at him in "Holes" or "The greatest game ever played" he is a pretty good actor at his age (he started out on the Disney Channel). Lets remember folks....Tom Hanks started out in Bosom Buddies and Batchlor Party. And Harrison Ford did Gunsmoke and Love American Style...and look at them now!

Indy didn't suck but it was only the fourth best or the worst of the series. They neede to steer clear of the sci/fi stuff and stay true to its fantasy/paranormal stuff IMO. Shia was decent, no need to bash the guy. I've actually come around full circle and could see Shia leading this franchise in the future.

I'm also looking forward to T2. No, I wasn't blown away by the first but it was a very entertaining action packed movie.

Dazzler, the thread you're looking for is under "movie" then "features". I don't know why it disappeared from the home page so fast.

How do you convey I liked it because it was Indy but I hated the movie being silly itself. Like I said the movie was way to silly for me. I would have much rather seen it a serious and not campy movie. Before you all jump on the "its about aliens" how could it be serious bandwagon. Close Encounters was serious and ID4 was campy. I liked it for what it was I guess just disappointed in it more.
