Are you ready to be a rat in a maze? No, seriousy, are you? Lead star Leonardo DiCaprio asks that question in the latest trailer for Shutter Island, an adaptation of the Dennis Lehane novel. Check out the latest trailer in the video player below. The thriller stars DiCaprio, Mark Ruffalo, Ben Kingsley, Michelle Williams, Patricia Clarkson and Max von Sydow. Director Martin Scorsese helmed the Paramount production from a screenplay by Laeta Kalogridis.
Plot Concept: The story follows two U.S. marshals, Teddy Daniels (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Chuck Aule (Mark Ruffalo), who are summoned to a remote and barren island off the cost of Massachusetts to investigate the mysterious disappearance of a murderess from the island's fortress-like hospital for the criminally insane.
Shutter Island will hit theaters February 19, 2010.

This looks excellent. Always have a little trouble when a familiar actor adopts any type of accent but Leo's isn't so bad. For a pretty boy this guy has definately proven me wrong. I assumed he would go the way Mathew Mcconaughey but has not. Aviator, Departed, Catch Me if You Can (his best in my opinion), B-Ball Diaries are all great.
I'm looking forward to this one as well as the wolfman as well.
FLINT521466: I agree wholehardly but remember that Hollywood has to make money every year. Not much is coming down the pike at least up to this point that expect to bring in big bucks. I saw on Showbiz Tonight bulletin that only about 22 new movies would be released this year in theaters so far.
I hate that they pull this crap too but what can you do but wait
This does look really good. Leo is a great actor and he has a really good supporting cast. I know what you mean Flint. It would have been nice to see these this month but Calibur454 is right. Hollywood and basically the whole movie making industry has cut production of movies by 30% this year and who knows about next year. The way things are going, less and less movies are going to be made per year. It sucks, especially since I wanted to get into film editing. There will be alot less demand for that, so I'll probably try TV first.
Well February is really a slow month so the boys in Hollywood may be smarter than you think, slow=less competition. Anyway is the same thing WB did with HP once TDK broke the bank
And agree about Leo, but then again I always thought he was a good actor, it's just that the craze he started after Titanic made him seem that his success was only because of his looks. But this cat has always been a serious actor
Movie looks cool, just dont get all the hype surrounding it.
Slow news day huh? Nothing new besides a couple trailers.
Nah, there are more news around, Jarrod just limits himself to 3 or 4 stories nowadays and most times not even the most interesting IMHO.
Everytime I see a trailer for this I get more pissed that it's been pushed back. Both this and "The Wolfman" should've been released this month. Period. Two perfect movies for the Halloween season. Two missed oppertunities for Hollywood to make some serious bank.
