Source: Empire Online

This upcoming issue of Empire Online not only has a feature for The Incredible Hulk, as we mentioned earlier, but also some new pictures of the returning animated series Star Wars: Clone Wars. Three new pics for the upcoming series which hits Cartoon Network and TNT later this year can be seen here.

The two hour pilot will be hitting theaters in August, to be followed by the series return to television in the fall. Director David Filoni led the project, based on a Henry Gilroy script.

I honestly don`t know if I like the animation. It reminds me a little of Beast Wars and I absolutely hated the animation on that. Of course, this is a lot smoother but still. Maybe I`m just old, but I still prefer normal animation rather than this of type stuff.

I have to agree, this animation is just too weird. I was hoping it would be done anime-style ala Ninja Scroll or even Appleseed: EX Machina not this late 90s video game stylee. Even if it were done like Clone Wars would look better but I digress until I actually see it. Yeah, I'm almost 33 so I guess those nostalgic memories that come with age are starting up.

I actually like the look and prefer it to the normal animation that was done with the previous CloneWars series for tv.

IMO the Cartoon Network CW was better than the movies and judging from these stills so will this cartoon. That at least is a plus.

I'm not a fan either. The Hulk looks pretty good though.

Man Lucas, pony up the cash for some quailty animation, (not to mention stories). Looks really cheap. Looks like Mr. T could come riding by on a big white tiger at any second.
Hell, subcontract it out to the Koreans if you have to. Quit using Star Wars for a lab rat, ya jerk. You haven't told a good story since the last Indy movie in what? 89? Star Wars now, is to Lucas, what those Land before Time videos were to Spielberg.

it wouldn't be new star wars unless we all wanted to be critical of it. it kind of looks like their hair is made of wood. still, looking forward to both new tv shows.

I don't mind the new style. While something more Advent Childrenish (Albeit Watered down for cost effectiveness) would have been great I have no problems with this style.

Looking forward to the TV Show, just wish we had more to go on for the Live Action. Besides this one is targeted more towards a younger audience and contrary to popular belief there is nothing wrong with that. The younger Generation is what will keep Star Wars alive when we are all dead and gone.

Adults have the live action to look forward to.

I think it's a little to blocky and disjointed looking although it might come off great in a 3-D format...
