A new poster has appeared online for Terminator Salvation courtesy of the Russian website Kinopoisk. You can check it out by clicking on the photo above. This latest installment into the sci-fi action franchise stars Christian Bale, Sam Worthington, Anton Yelchin, Bryce Dallas Howard, Moon Bloodgood and Common. Director McG was behind the camera, based on a screenplay by Michael Ferris, John Brancato, Paul Haggis, Jonathan Nolan, Shaun Ryan and Anthony Zuiker.

Plot Summary: In the highly anticipated new installment of "The Terminator" film franchise, set in post-apocalyptic 2018, Christian Bale stars as John Connor, the man fated to lead the human resistance against Skynet and its army of Terminators. But the future Connor was raised to believe in is altered in part by the appearance of Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington), a stranger whose last memory is of being on death row. Connor must decide whether Marcus has been sent from the future, or rescued from the past. As Skynet prepares its final onslaught, Connor and Marcus both embark on an odyssey that takes them into the heart of Skynet's operations, where they uncover the terrible secret behind the possible annihilation of mankind.
Terminator Salvation will hit theaters May 21, 2009.
I seem to recall from the initial blurbs about the movie that John Connor would have a smaller part in this movie, which would focus more on Marcus Wright. By the end of the movie, Connor will have ascended to leadership of the resistance, taking over the lead for the next two movies. I don't know if that idea got pushed away once Bale signed on, but that's what they had said.
gauley, Worthington is a fast rising star. After this he has Avatar and Clash of the Titans. So he's sure to be a well recognized name, at least by genre fans. But like you I don't reacll seeing him in any memorable way.
fft, I think you are right that they probably pushed the original idea out. But to be honest I'm more intrigued by the Marcus character than Connor's. So I hope Worthington's involvement is heavy and maybe carries on to the sequels.
James Cameron's AVATAR wil cause blindness by the sheer awesomess that will radiate from that film!
Also, give me Terminator already damn it!

It's interesting they give Sam Worthington such big billing in this flick. I have never heard of him, and looked on IMDB and don't recognze anything he's been in, withthe exception of Harts War, but I never saw that
