With Yahoo showing the new Wondercon trailer for Terminator Salvation, the website has passed along some new posters from the upcoming sci-fi action film. You can check the new posters out here. The film stars Christian Bale, Sam Worthington, Anton Yelchin, Bryce Dallas Howard, Moon Bloodgood and Common. Director McG was behind the camera, based on a screenplay by Michael Ferris, John Brancato, Paul Haggis, Jonathan Nolan, Shaun Ryan and Anthony Zuiker.

The trailer is now online. You can check it out here.

Plot Summary: In the highly anticipated new installment of "The Terminator" film franchise, set in post-apocalyptic 2018, Christian Bale stars as John Connor, the man fated to lead the human resistance against Skynet and its army of Terminators. But the future Connor was raised to believe in is altered in part by the appearance of Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington), a stranger whose last memory is of being on death row. Connor must decide whether Marcus has been sent from the future, or rescued from the past. As Skynet prepares its final onslaught, Connor and Marcus both embark on an odyssey that takes them into the heart of Skynet's operations, where they uncover the terrible secret behind the possible annihilation of mankind.

Terminator Salvation will hit theaters May 21, 2009.

The trailer is up on yahoo now. The Nine Inch Nails music cheapens it for me, but I'm a traditional guy so pop music in any movie blows it for me. I know they just do it for the teenagers and twenty somethings but symphonic scores are way more effective and immersive IMO. Visually though the movie looks good I Still prefer skynets machines and environments being more chrome and imaculate in Camerons films to this used grungy look and still don't know about the Terminator bikes. I mean that's what the flyig HK's are for right? To hunt down vehicles. Seems inefficient for the self aware super computer to come up an use those things.

this could be the movie of the year... you know what i like? when Hollywood takes risks.

Ledger? nobody approved, and look how it turned out.

McG? nobody approved, and look at the new trailer...

Very cool trailer regardless of whatever music is playing to it...I am glad to see many different types of machines hunting down humans and not just a few, makes it more exciting in my opinion, still a kick ass trailer and look forward to this for sure....

Looks pretty sweet. Pretty disappointed they gave us that Marcus Wright plot point in the trailer though. So much for the mystery surrounding that character. The bikes look pretty cool. Are they practical, not really...........but they still look cool. Especially enjoyed the sliding around on it's side to avoid the debris and then popping back up bit.

one word.

bricks.

one thing that is nice is to see the future not just being portrayed in the dark, nice to see day light and seeing metal as well.

Iceman...I would not go as far as giving McG and major props based off a trailer, might as well wait for the movie to come out to see if it is any good before claiming him a directing god lol...

So SkyNet is putting human brains in robotic bodies. I read this rumor a few months ago in empire magazine I think. Its a nice change of pace if you ask me.

Dark...Now that you mention it, I too am a little disapointed that they gave away that Marcus plot point...

Pretty damn cool.

Although I know these movies hold on their own and have their own origins,   it kinda takes away from Transformers 2 for ME,  and I dont like that... I dont like that one bit.
