A week after revealing their first TV spots for the rapidly-approaching Thor, Paramount Pictures and Marvel Studios have rolled out two new spots for the May 6 release. Check them out below as well as some helmet-focused posters revealed at the WonderCon over the weekend. The action adventure stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Anthony Hopkins, Rene Russo, Stellan Skarsgard, Tom Hiddleston, Jaimie Alexander, Kat Dennings, Ray Stevenson, Samuel L. Jackson, Josh Dallas, Tadanobu Asano, Idris Elba, Clark Gregg and Colm Feore. Helmer Kenneth Branagh led the direction, based on a screenplay by Ashley Edward Miller, Zack Stentz and Don Payne.

Plot Concept: The story spans the Marvel Universe from present day Earth to the realm of Asgard. At the center of the story is the mighty Thor (Chris Hemsworth), a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. Thor is cast down to Earth by his father Odin (Anthony Hopkins) and is forced to live among humans. A beautiful, young scientist, Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), has a profound effect on Thor, as she ultimately becomes his first love. It's while here on Earth that Thor learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth.

I wouldn't mind having KISS' God of Thunder on the soundtrack. True the song isn't too relatable to Thor aside from the title and the man of steel reference. But I love that song, heck I love every song from Destroyer.

They've outdone themselves. He's sure no Donald Blake. :P

Wiseguy: Like Black Sabbath was for Iron Man, yes. Sounds like God of Thunder might pop up somewhere in the background for this movie. He is on Earth for some time, after all. :P And I can listen to anything KISS does, even the lesser known and less popular Music From "The Elder" album.

So excited about these Thor T.V. Spots. But then at the end on the first one they used a nasty word "3D".  Now I know I do not have to watch the movie in 3D.  But this leads me to believe that Thor might be plagued with "coming towards the camera in slow motion" action shots.  Which I find a bit cheesy.

I have no intentions of seeing this in 3D, but I can't wait to see the movie. This is an amazing time for those of us who were reading comics as kids back in the 70s. To finally see our favorite heroes come alive on the big screen is a huge thrill. I doubt anything will ever make me as giddy as the first Superman film (I was a kid and it was the first super hero film), but Thor and especially Captain America will come close.

It looks like Thor's going to be in costume at the beginning of the film but be out of costume for most of the film. I'm looking forward to the Hawkeye scene in the movie. That'll be really cool, but i hope there's not too much Avengers crossover in the movie. There was a little too much of it in IM2 for my taste.

The thing is...I don't really want to see the Thor movie.......................although.................for reasons I....can't quite explain...............I do really want a 7-Eleven slurpee poured into a Thor commemorative cup........

It's weird though.  I don't even like slurpee's.

(Actually kidding on both counts. *Sigh* But seriuously. As if that Insideous ad wasn't bad enough.)
