Sony Pictures has released a new TV Spot for The Amazing Spider-Man
Plot Concept: The Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents' disappearance – leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr. Curt Connors (Ifans), his father's former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors' alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.

The Amazing Spider-Man swings into 3D/2D/IMAX theaters on July 3, 2012.

rt  has 3 reviews, all 4 out of 5 stars.  Given the apprehension that seems like a good sign to me

Hey Bob I just saw a clip on superherohype with Spidey searching the sewers, really cool.

I really like the way Spiderman moves, It's like the made the decision to go with more real actors and stunt guys as opposed to animating all the action scenes. I find that it looks a more realistic than the Raimi Spiderman...It's got more sense of gravity and weight.

saw it too, I try and run legit above board stuff... it looks legit but its a cell phone camera video of it... crap like that annoys the studios. Sony already set us up with an Emaa Stone/ Marc Webb interview. We're going to play nice.

OK, I thought it was legit. I'm on your side

For a long time, I've been sorta indiferent to the coming of the new Spidey.  The closer it gets, the more I look forward to it.  I don't know what the marketing campaign is doing for all the non-fanboys out there, but I'm sold.

Yeah, I'm even more pumped for this!  A curiosity I have about the film now is how they plan on handling Uncle Ben's death since it's a reboot on the origin.  Not that I don't think they they have it covered well, but we really haven't seen much of Martin Sheen as Ben in the trailers or of Spidey trying his luck at being a wrestler or putting him in a situation where he lets a criminal go out of selfishness.  You know, the whole "great responsibility" moment.

Not saying it won't be awesome, just makes me wonder if Ben's death will be in the conclusion of the film and be a result of the Lizard's final attack, thus Spidey feeling "responsible" for the death since in all the promotional material they've been focusing on his parents and how Peter feels "responsible" for the Lizard's creation.

All in all, definitely makes me excited to see the whole film in 2 weeks!  :)

One of my friends was a lucky git and managed to get a pass into a preview showing... He was one that thought the reboot was too soon and wasn't looking forward to it. He came out singing its praise, saying it was awesome. Kinda looking forward to it even more now!

I'm in! This makes the Raimi version looks a bit dated ... I think the comments about hte animation vs the live actors makes the big difference. Great to Gwen Stacy vs what had to pass for MJ.

These clips have me feeling brave... and feeling afraid. And that's a fontastic feeling!

Oh yes! Ah luv eet!!!

I really did not want to want to see this movie. But everything I've seen makes me want to see it more and more. Especially when the things we see have Emma Stone in them...
