Summit Entertainment has revealed a full new trailer for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, which you can check out down below. After showing off some blood thirsty vampires in 30 Days of Night, director David Slade has been tasked with upping the action ante in this third installment of the Twilight franchise. The film will star Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Bryce Dallas Howard, Ashley Greene, Billy Burke, Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Reaser, Nikki Reed, Kellan Lutz, Jackson Rathbone and Dakota Fanning. Melissa Rosenberg was back to script out the story for Slade.
Plot Concept: In "Eclipse," Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger as Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge. In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between her love for Edward and her friendship with Jacob — knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the ageless struggle between vampire and werewolf. With her graduation quickly approaching, Bella is confronted with the most important decision of her life.
The Twilight Saga: Eclipse will hit conventional and IMAX theaters June 30, 2010.

damn you Sarafin -- you post these to taunt me!
actually this is Jarrod's favorite installment...well bookwise anyways...(no really it is...his copy is made of gold and has lithographs of shirtless Jacob on one cover and a sparkly, glowing Edward on the other cover)
there, I told Jarrod! ha, what are ya gonna do?
but seriously...sigh...I'm really hoping this is 2 steps above the previous installment...can't help but kick that Chris Weitz for this and Golden Compass
David Slade is a pretty good director and he does well with the vampire genre. It looks like the battle scenes will be pretty good and we will get to see the larger battle considering in the book we only hear about it after the fact.
The wolves do look sort of cartoonish but its not really by choice. CGI technology hasn't gotten to the point where they can do creatures covered in fur very well. For soem reason fur doesn't render well unless its covered in darkness, which is why movies like Wolfman used actual makeup work. Its also why VanHelsing's werewolf looked horrible. These are actually a lot better.
The CG in this trailer looked a lot better than in the trailer for New Moon. I'll say that, at least. I still haven't seen New Moon yet. It's on my list, though.
Ummm.. is it Ok to say that I actually like The Twilight Saga. Ok The first book/movie sucked big time, but the series improved (greatly!!) as it went on. Was New Moon perfect? No, but I enjoyed it. I really don't have a problem with fake CG gigantic wolves jumping around bc they're fake gigantic wolves jumping around. Anyone who has a problem with how "fake" they look should write in to the studio so you can give them a "real" account of how "real" gigantic wolves are supposed to jump around.
This looks pretty good. Well the last two are suppose to be the most action packed out of the series anyways. The first two had to work out the love triangle and the mushy stuff.
there's something super cheesy about trying to make a bunch of vampires in raggedy street clothes fighting in an "epic war" and adding that kinda music to make it look even more "epic".
Huh, looks like something might actually happen in this one...Those wolves still look like cartoons though. I look forward to the Rifftrax for this one just as I have for the first two.
